15703/15710 size and comfort

Hey guys,

Thinking about getting an AP Diver. Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is the size and comfort. I've tried it on on multiple occasions when visiting ADs and I think it works fine, but it's difficult to know without wearing the watch for at least a couple of hours. I've added some picture. My wrist size is 7 inches.

I like large watches, I own a 47mm PAM372 and have no issues with it. Would you guys say it wears bigger than a 47mm Panerai? I've read some comments saying it wears bigger than a 44mm Panerai , that's why I'm asking..

Many thanks

Good to go and looks just right for you bro. Get the 15710 with the display caseback, which is also much more desirable and better for resale. Its comfortable, at least on bracelet. I forget its there.

Personally I find the 15710 to wear about the same as a 44mm Panerai.

I absolutely love the feel of the Diver on the wrist, very comfortable and solid feeling, not too heavy, just perfect.

Here's the Diver on my 6.5" wrist. On your 7" wrist, and if you wear a 372, you'll be just fine.

I would say no. I know a lot of people say it wears big and maybe it does lug to lug but overall (visually) i think it is pretty true to size and for me it wears smaller than a Rolex DSSD. So maybe it wears 1mm big but its so close that I've never really thought about it much.

Its the 44mm's that to me at least that appear to wear bigger, those wear as big as my Big Pilot (46mm)

Your wrists are a bit smaller than mine but i think it looks good one you. Looks smaller than a Panerai for sure.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it. What would you say about the strap. I have a problem with the OEM Panerai straps that came with my PAM372 - they sit either too tight or too loose. What wrist size do you guys have and how does the rubber strap fit on your wrist?

7.5 inch wrist and i wear my diver tight. I wear it on the second to the last hole. It fits well for me. When its hot out i wear it out one more hole and it fits well there too.

If your wrists are smaller you may need to do a combo of regular and short straps. if both ends are short, it may be too small. So you will probably need to keep the regular strap on the 12 o'clock side that comes with it (buckle side) and order a short strap to put on the 6 o'clock side (with the holes). Otherwise, at best, you will be on the last hole.

That strategy also works well if you are "between holes" as far as getting the perfect fit.

The divers case design and shape hugs your wrist better than a pam so even if its loose it doesn't flop around your wrist, so its less of an issue.

Thanks ! Will need to try the standard strap first. Don't remember how it fit when I was at the dealer trying it out. Just measured my wrist, it's exactly 7.1 inches, so I think I will have to do like you said. Do you know how much an extra rubber strap would cost me?

This is how the standard OEM panerai rubber strap fits my wrist on a 44mm pam112. It's pretty tight and I wouldn't want it any tighter than this.

not cheap... like £200-ish here i think if you buy after the purchase, but you should be able to get them to throw in a free one with purchase especially if the regular one is too long.

If you buy from your official AP SC then this is the price, very reasonable, an AD may charge a large mark up.

Its a beaut! Definitely go for this one. It's currently on my list as well. I have to say this is my next AP (or the 15202). I own the 15400 and it sites on my arm with the same lug to lug presence. I have a 6.5 inch wrist but flat. Hoping this would work on mine as well. (Note to self: try this bad boy on)

Get the short strap option, it will probably fit a bit better. (just not sure what the difference in length is... any forum members can chime in on that?)

Even my girlfriend could wear it, don't you worry about the size.

How much does an OEM Bracelet cost for the AP Diver?

And also, when buying a 15703st - what should I look out for? Also, what's included in a full set?
