Am I being done?

Hi all,

I have been offered the sub in the attached pictures at a good price in a private sale, but it does not come with any relevant paperwork. This doesn't really bother me unless it is not as genuine as the seller claims, although they seem very trustworthy and honest - can anyone see anything that rings alarm bells before i part with my money? I am having a hard job finding someone local with the correct tools to open the back and check the movement but have a few local businesses left to call tomorrow - just wondering if anyone can see anything that immediately shows its a fake...

I am due to meet with the seller where I can check the serial and model number - am i right in thinking this will be a 16610?

Thanks for any advice anyone can give...

Chris

Flags up as the back sticker will always be upright on a genuine Rolex

Frankly if you can't tell or know the difference then buying outside of an AD will be risky for you. Not worth losing lots of money.

I agree, if you need to ask the question regarding that watch then do yourself a massive favour and stick to either Authorized Dealers or legitimate used watch dealers.

You may pay a little extra but the alternative is getting ripped off.

I'm relatively new to the brand, and the hobby, and that is one of the worst fakes I have ever seen.

Even after only 6 months of reading this forum, I could tell it was a POS from the first picture. The more experienced WIS here must have headaches from looking at it.

Buying vintage without excellent knowledge can be made only via very trusted seller IMO

Some friendly advice... take some time to do some research on identifying fakes and scams as well as who are considered trustworthy sellers of second hand rolex.

You could have seen it through the magnifier, it hardly magnifies the date.

if you were to ask what was not right to prove its not real the list would be soooo extensive that if the moron that made it ever read it he'd feel like a complete failure in life lol!
Its a shocking fake and nothing is right about it, no authentication process will ever be able to show it as a real rolex.... give it a miss mate, there will be no joy buying that one

Thanks for everyone's help. I won't bother ringing around trying to get someone to open it to see a crappy movement. Other than the mentioned sticker can anyone tell me what isn't right with it? I haven't seen the watch yet (was going to today) but it didn't look too bad to
Me!

Seems I should deffo stick to ADs!!

Thanks

Chris
