26405CE in Hong Kong
Please advise where I can get this piece in HK, will be traveling there and like to buy one for my birthday.
Do they offer discount for this piece? If they do, how much discount usually? Thanks. |

How about getting it in the UK? Will it be cheaper? Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It's available from the AP boutique, but I've yet to see this with model land at the ADs here (though haven't looked for a month or so).
It's widely available from grey dealers here and you can check chrono24 for a sense of pre-negotiation pricing |

I am also new to AP. Is this piece difficult to get from ADs? Cheers |

Difficult to get any of the new popular ROO models from the AD. Most, if not all reserve these new releases for existing clients.
IFC Mall boutique had one yesterday, but it was being sold as I was picking up my 15202. The boutique is not completely inflexible with discounts, but don't count on it (e.g. I was told no chance on 15202, but was told there would be some discount on the 15400). They do have the most and updated stock in HK though. |

15-18% on the new model sounds a bit optimistic - happy to be proven wrong on that, though

Well someone told me that ADs in HK will offer around 15-18% discount. And I was just hoping it applies to most AP watches if not all.
I am new to AP, is this piece difficult to get from ADs? I saw some available on Chrono24, are they authentic? |

I've visited many AP boutiques recently, picking up my blue 15400 last week. Can you post up a pic of the watch? I'm in China now and Google and any other search engine in English is blocked out

depends on which one. The new one is priced lower than the old so discount is less likely, plus its a new release. The old one with the anthracite dial is priced close to the RG which is crazy to begin with so i would say discount is likely.

Cheers mate. I am after the new one unfortunately. The new dial is stunning though I like the old one as well

All this leads me to believe a discount will be difficult. That said, all the new CE's i have seen on the forums were almost all sourced in Asia for some reason so maybe they are more common there at the moment |

There are quite a number of grey sellers in HK. While I cannot attest to Chrono24's vetting process, info on number of transactions done, length of time the dealer has been a Trusted Seller and the ability to do face to face transaction would provide some comfort |

You sound like you are in your early days of researching pricing etc, just to be aware legally you will be required to declare the watch on return from HK and pay the UK duty which will cancel out any discount and most likely make it the more expensive route.
(Not trying to be the customs police just giving you the info in case you wasn't aware) Maybe look at other EU counties to see on pricing and possible discounts? |

I'd say be careful with grey market dealers - even though I'm a local, I don't get a great feeling of comfort buying from grey market dealers. You'll deal at those shops mostly in cash, and I don't like the idea of carrying 30K USD in cash around to buy a watch. I could have saved $1000 or so on the grey market for my 15202 compared to buying from the boutique - but the peace of mind I got from buying at the boutique was well worth it.

As far as buying in person in a other country(non EU) and wearing it back home w/o paying duty people do that all the time, not advocating just stating what people do ( i wouldn't). Having it shipped, there is really no way to not pay import duty as it will be assessed and taxed upon entry and before they even send it out for delivery to you. |

If you want the new ce44, which is already 10k less than the previous models, I wouldn't count on 15-18%, would say 10 max, but if you buy in a place like France or Europe where you get tax refund, 10% plus the tax refund makes a hell of a great deal |

The new one is more for a formal occasion, just my little cents. And don't get me wrong, I love the old one as well. But I personally prefer the black dial.

Harrods has the Ti and RG now, but they don't have a new CE at the moment. |

Plus you will get a ton of harrods rewards points too, probably a few hundred Ł of in store credit. Join the rewards program if you are not already a member. |
