Poor mans watch. WARNING...Quartz

This arrived yesterday. It is a Lorus battery powered watch and cost the huge sum of £25 new on ebay. I bought it mainly for a wear to work watch but my son (10yrs) has his eye on it so may get a nato strap and shorten it for him. Then he can have a watch that "looks like Daddy's". Second picture shows the Lorus with my Sub Date and Tudor Sub.

That's a nice looking watch Colin Enjoy it in good health

I had a Timex once that looked similar to that. It lasted about two years as an everyday work watch and I think the price was around $40 US. Can't go wrong for that kind of money

Thanks Paulie, as you say can't go wrong for the money.
I saw that Timex a few years ago and nearly bought it myself.

Good choice. It looks better than many of the higher priced watches.
