Potential trade.....
As for my 1st and 2nd Rolex purchases I like to know what my fellow RF members think. My first Rolex purchase was a 114060 on February 2017. Then BLNR April 2017. The watch that got me interested in Rolex was a DJ2. I've always admired that fluted bezel. You can say I've always wanted one. Fast forward today...the 114060 gets very little wrist time. Truly love the looks and feel of my BLNR on my wrist. I now want the new DJ41/blue or silver stick dial/fluted bezel/jubilee. That jubilee bracelet is everything on that watch. Anyways I'm about to make a trade + cash. 114060 for new DJ41. Ultimately I like the thought of owning a sports SS watch and casual SS watch. Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had a DJ2 sold it for my GMT IIc. Realized for my style and life that sports model just fit me better. It comes down to personal preference. I always say diversify your collection so you have a watch for many different type of occasions.

Ive got a Rose gold Daytona that Ive only had a year and never really loved , I didn't really want to take a big hit on it so early after buying it new so I'll probably keep it a few more years and see if I can fall in love with it.
Just seems a shame to leave it stuck in the safe though |

I bought both 114060 and BLNR pre owned mint conditions with box and paper. Both watches still under good amounts of warranty. 114060 warranty card dated 11/2015 and BLNR warranty card dated 02/2017

this cant be through an AD. must be through gray dealer. that said if someone will give you 5.8k to 6k trade for your watch do it.

i agree. the dj 41 is a lot better feeling on the wrist than the dj 2. that said be happy with it because even purchasing it at 8,500 you will experience a large depreciation drop.

Correct and that's why I just may end up waiting for a pre-owned DJ41 once the market gets flooded with them. I've never paid retail. Thinking about the money I'll save makes me want to wait. Thank you for your input.

[QUOTE=JSolano305;7779047]the 114060 gets very little wrist time./QUOTE]
^ there's your answer. Let's be honest-- the Sub is pretty similar to the GMT. Just don't get screwed on the trade. DO IT! |

If you have no expectation of missing the Submariner, might as well.

I prefer the sport watches but clearly it's been a target of yours. Go for it.

I always caution on selling your first Rolex, but since you didn't have it that long and it's not singing to you, it's time to move on. The BLNR with a DJ41 on a jubilee is a killer combo. Go for it!
