The Green "Ribbon" box set is most correct.

Well, I know in the '70s-'80s there were different versions of box sets depending on where the watch was sold, U.S. versus Europe, for example. Not sure about the '60s as much. (Maybe Springer will chime in. He's a Rolex box-set expert.)

Correct boxes are predicated on when the watch was sold, and how you date the watch. From my experience, using case backs to date a watch, one with a 1967 case back was normally sold two or three years later than the case back stamping, sometimes even four years. In this particulate instance and in reply to the question poised in the first post, I would look for a box that was used from the very late 1960s.
I would lean toward the white box with green stripe or possibly the green box with the Rolex ribbon on the outer lid.

From my research over the last few days and on the drsd.com site , I think mine should have this ribbon box Michael and mr Springer suggest. Green box with gold ribbon or bow ?. I went through Andrew Shears archive and he sold a PPDRSD that has a serial number 20 away from mine with a box like this ,I will attach copies tomorrow. where will I get one though ?.

Additionally, relying on a dealer web site to determine a correct box is a "recipe for failure." I've seen many incorrect boxes mixed in with supposed sets. One of the most common errors are USA boxes offered with non USA sets and vice versa or boxes with a complete set that didn't first appear for over a decade after the sale indicated on a warranty paper. Anyway, good luck and enjoy your watch - that's the most important aspect of this hobby - isn't it?
