Glass clarity - cleaning recommendations

Any recommendations for cleaning the glass and making it easier to wipe clean with a micro fibre cloth?

I hope I'm not imagining it but my older GMT Pepsi is so hard to keep the glass clean.

My other subs are ceramic and my DJs are also less than 5 years old. Not sure if they changed the glass but I seem much happier with their clarity.

Any recommendations on products to strip clean and protect?

What reference / year is it?

Some much older watches are acrylic (i.e. plastic) crystal, which is quite a bit less scratch / chemical resistant than the synthetic sapphire of modern watches.

I think "polywatch" is what's used on the old acrylic crystals.

Tiny bit of toothpaste works on mine.

Microfibre ain't that great for degreasing, worse still if you don't wash them regularly nor properly (hot water, no softener).

If I want to get grubby fingerprints off shiny surfaces I use cotton or newspaper dampened with Windex (ammonia window cleaner).

If I'm washing things in bulk and want them to dry streakfree, add RinseAid to the final rinsing bucket. Or Kodak PhotoFlo. That's amazing stuff... tiny capful to a bucket, throw that over your car and all the water just falls off like a hurricane has blown it dry.

I cleaned the face with a tiny amount of toothpaste. Degreased and it's been great all day.

I'm going to get these products too. Very happy with the results. No more haze

Keep in mind that these compounds are polishers, not cleaners. They remove a small amount of material with each use. If you use them too often, you will change the shape of the crystal.
