* STENCIL WALL PAINTING * - has anyone done this in their home?
Hi Guys!
Any tips on (flawless) stencil wall/ceiling painting if you have already ventured there? Photos? We're trying to avoid expense of carpentry for wainscot, etc. in a no-natural-light-hallway, but feel the need to perk up the area. If works well, may do in other places, too. If hiring artist/painter to do stencils, may not be so economical. Found many examples on pinterest, but am throwing this out to you about experiences by TRFers, if any. Appreciate..... Thanks, DM

No tips but I've seen this done and it looks very nice (done well). It's not inexpensive but has a very custom and beautiful look! Please post pics once completed?!

If you want flawless you either need to become skilled at it or hire someone who is. My mom is pretty good at it, as a hobbyist, and from my observations, it's not easy work and requires lot's of patience. I wouldn't mind learning it.

I've used a projector and transparencies to paint larger paintings. I imagine you could do the same for an entire wall if needed.

I can make die cut wall decals. Or they can be stencils to be removed after the paint, although I haven't tried it.
Not sure on the rules of advertising, so if interested, pm me. |
