Good aftermarket bracelet source?

Hey all,

So I bought an Air King 5500 recently and it came in a leather strap.

Anybody know where to get a good quality aftermarket 19mm bracelet (oyster/jubilee) with end links for a holes case?

Going aftermarket in the mean time while I try to save up and source for the real thing.

Found some on wholesaleoutlet990 (ebay) but unsure of quality and reliability...

Call Charlie at Watches Etc : (405) 789-2824 for the real thing. For that model, he probably has something used and authentic Rolex for a pretty reasonable price. He's "djpropel" on eBay. But I would call him.

On eBay, he has a 7835 Oyster for $350. I think it should fit. Just ask him.

Actually, any screw link bracelet, Rolex or not should have fresh Loctite applied to the screws to avoid any possibility they will back out.

Thanks for your advice regarding the Pool Dial Air King :)))
It is indeed the aforementioned watch.

Love that little P symbol.

Never owned a vintage Rolex before but is it normal to hear and feel clicks thats not a typical winding sound after winding it after 4 turns....could be a click denoting that its overwound?

Have no experience handling the cal. 1520....

Winding via auto or manual crown turning?

Shouldn't be any noticeable clicking on the oldies I've handled. Even winding an auto via crown the clutch should release pretty silently.

When's it last serviced? Could be dirt or dried lube or broken jewel etc etc

Winding via crown turning. Yeah its pretty noticeable and loud every 2 or 3 turns. Ive been wearing the watch for more than 24 hours now.

According to seller, watch was recently overhauled. Its keeping time pretty well so far though...+2 a day.

Just a little piece of advice. Don't go aftermarket with a bracelet for a valuable watch.

I had one of those oysters fail on me. The first link simply came apart. Mind you, not one of the removable ones. The link just against the case !!

Just because it looks solid doesn't mean it actually is.

Wear it on leather or nato till you can buy a proper bracelet. Just my 2c.

Some folks equate light with cheap, back when watches mattered weight was the enemy.

This one is 44 years old...

Just like a Rolex will do.

My neighbor had a bracelet screw come out one day in his house. Thanks that he was on the carpet when it happened. I've heard the same story before from others about Rolex screws popping out.

Beauty. Some people seem to avoid pre-solid endlink bracelets like a plague but I really like the lightness/compactness of how they wear.

Funny thing is I actually purchased a midsize Seiko skx just for the jubilee. That jubilee is probably comparable to those 15 - 20 dollar jubilee bracelets sold online but we dont think twice about it cause its a 'beater' seiko.

How'd that wholesaleoutlet990 Jubilee end up working out for you?

Sorry, just saw this. Clasp is absurd, whole thing just felt cheap as hell...was honestly expecting something not too bad for 40 bucks. returned it
