DateJust 41 choice of dials

On the site here, most of the talk has been about the blue dial, the black and an off white dial.

At an AD this week who said there's a silver/ sticks dial available, very much like that on the DJ36; not in stock but I saw it in the dial catalog.
Has anyone seen this in the 41?

Yes I have and I find the silver dial too flush with the rest of the watch. I took a picture of it out of the catalogue at my AD.

Have you considered the Rhodium?

These dials have really made the DJ a very serious choice for me.

I bought my dad the DJ1 with super jubilee, fluted bezel and silver stick dial. In the 41 it looks even more stunning.

However I've fallen in love with the blue dial. That would be my choice .

Ps I bought my wife the Wimbledon dial (bi metal slate grey/green accents). Love that too. However doesn't suit me that well.

There all really nice, but for me the silver dial steals the show.

I have not seen the silverish/white. I did try on the rhodium with diamonds and the MOP with Diamond this week. Both fantastic and as Jack has shown the rhodium is pretty nice.

I have tried on the silver dial at a couple different AD's. While the silver is very nice, It was a little plain looking compared to many of the other color options.

The silver is beautiful...Seth (Superdog) has one with the smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet. Perhaps he will be along to post his beauty.

That is a nice one, first silver I've seen. At the AD I could only guess that it would look like the DJ36.
I have a lot of black and dark dials, and white is too stark, from what I can tell the silver really fits the bill.

I love my Rhodium dial DJ41 - but silver, black, white, blue - they all look so good. Then you have the other choices of smooth or fluted bezel and jubilee or oyster bracelet! All are winners.

Take a good look at the NEW black on the DJ41.
I was expecting the old shiney lacquered look but WRONG.

It is also a sunburst variey and changes subtly from dark black to grey dependong on the light and angle.

very classy yet eye catching

I have got a DJII Black, smooth bezel. i could definitely see getting a DJ41 to supplement. Great choices in that line-up!

Understood, but I would never flip my DJII. I could see getting a white/silver DJ41, however.

I am debating the pros and cons of the various Datejust 41 dial colors. The goal is to have a do-it-all-watch from shorts and jeans to shirt and blazer, not for black tie dress. Most of the time it will be jeans and a t-shirt or sweater. I really want the watch to fly under the radar and only be noticed by those that know!

The options I will choose are:
Smooth bezel
Oyster bracelet
Sticks

Top of my list is the silver dial which I think helps the watch to disappear on the wrist rather than jump out with a strong contract of color. Option two is the classic black dial. A distant third option is the Rhodium (grey) which is beautiful but maybe too classy and formal.

What are your thoughts? Which is less formal, silver or black?

Wrist shots would be greatly appreciated!

I am seriously considering the silver dial fluted DJ 41 on oyster that I tried on last week. A stunner.
