AP Diver
Alright Gents,
I'm closing in on an AP Diver, white dial. Very excited for this one! One question I have is how the steel bracelet fits to the case? Is it neat? Is it comfortable? Any concerns with the Diver model in general ? |

If you haven't tried the watch on before buying, I would advise you to hold off. The spacing on the rubber strap is not always ideal. I found myself wanting a half step. I'll let someone else answer the question about the metal bracelet.

I love the Diver...can't go wrong there.
For me the rubber is more comfortable, but I really like the the ability to change up the look of any 42mm with the bracelet. Bracelet integrates right into the case the same way the rubber strap does via the two plots. |

I had this set up on the diver when I had it. The bracelet really dresses it up, it looked amazing. The weight of the watch with the bracelet was much much heavier than with the rubber. I would say for comfort, the rubber was superior. The one thing I could not get used to, and hopefully I dont get flamed, I found with the bracelet, it would tug on the hairs of my wrist constantly, it made me crazy. I dont think I have overly hairy arms, and the only comparison I have on the hair pulling fronts are the multiple Rolex with bracelets I have and never do I have that hair pulling experience. Anyway, on the looks department, it looked great. As far as the fit, it was perfect, it was easy enough to change as I bought the extra plots so it was faster to change, worth the extra if you want to do it right. Anyway, post pics if you go through with it!

I see the potential for this w my 44, thanks for the word of caution. I think between this and my d-blue...I'll be ready for waterworld, so psyched!

I have small 6.3 inch wrists and the bracelet fits better by hugging the contours of my wrist better than the rubber. Initially had some skin pinching but somehow it all went away...maybe simply stopped touching the bracelet on my wrist as that causes the gaps to open and close causing the pinching. No problems with comfort, felt a little heavy initially but got used to it. Its all relative depending on how heavy your other watches are. Only concern is on the time required for finances to recover after buying it.

Generally I prefer straps on the ROOs, it's already a hefty presence-ful watch.

Congrats on the watch , I have the black face Diver with orange and black rubber strap and the metal bracelet from an off shore chrono. I love it with the bracelet. Yes it's heavy but definitely adds to the look. My bracelet fits the case perfectly and is actually easier than changing rubber straps.

Totally agree. Sold the bracelet because it was too heavy and unconfortable. The diver was designed for the rubber strap which imho is the perfect match...

Its an amazing watch on a rubber strap. But equally at home on the beautifully finished bracelet. Being honest though mine spend the majority of its life on rubber.
