1991 Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Chronograph - Blue Bezel
The Speedmaster Professional is hands down one of the most important watches ever made and its link to history is forever cemented by going to the Moon in 1969. The Speedmaster is also a wonderful example of 1960s design and has proven to be timeless seeing as the watch has gone mostly unchanged since that time.
This example is from 1991 and has the yellow plated caliber 861 movement, a nicely faded tritium dial and an absolutely killer bezel that has faded to a bright blue color that only be achieved through time. This is a great daily wearer example of the legendary Moonwatch. Take a look at our detailed photos and condition description below: Case: 42mm case in good condition with signs of use as pictured but there are no major marks on the case. Bezel: Original tachymetre bezel with wear as shown including missing paint rom the 130 to 90 markers and other minor spots of wear. The bezel has faded to a wonderful blue color. Dial/Hands: Original matte black dial with tritium markers faded to a darker even patina. Hands are also original and have faded to a dark patina. Caseback: Original caseback with typical wear as pictured but crisp engravings inside and out. Crystal: Brand new OEM Omega hesalite crystal free from any scratching. Movement: Caliber 861 hand wound chronograph movement. All functions work as they should including chronograph start, stop, and reset to zero. Service history is unknown. Bracelet/Strap: New vintage style brown leather strap with SS buckle. Accessories: None. Sold as watch only. Price is $2700 shipped insured FedEx overnight CONUS via PayPal or wire (3% discount for wire). US sale preferred, international sales will pay the cost of shipping. Face to face in the Boston area also welcome. I have many references available. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking! |
