New incoming. One of the Rolex GOAT?
As some of you may (or may not) recall, I have chronic flipping tendancy (damn you TRF for the influence ) For last 2 months, I’m been flipping more than 10 watches and still keep a couple like the Tudor and AP but no Rolex on hand. (Several pieces not shown due to 9 photo limitation lol)
Feeling the R itch again, decided to look up the sale thread this morning and holy crap, a Z series full set SD up for grab. Been dreaming of trying out this piece! This is my first pre-ceramic model and putting it on now, I get to know the charm of the 5-digit Rolex. The case proportion and overall aesthetic balance is much more pleasant and even refreshing compared to its immediate short-lived sibling 116600. Previously I said 116600 probably the last best SD. Now I may have to retract that back... My only beef so far? Seem like Rolex haven’t figured out in 1960s that wrist is not symmetry, making 5 fixed links on both sides. For smaller wrist below 6.7”, it’s impossible to the clasp centered without any removal of permanent link. Saving grace is that the watch feel natural with pretty much any sport or casual straps. |
