Shipping a car across USA

I bought a car in Fargo and need it shipped to South Texas. I hired a broker (Port Kick) to find a truck, and agreed to pay top dollar for speed. 24 hours later and no trucking co identified.

Port Kick does not require a deposit UNTIL driver has been dispatched so I'm not out anything yet.

They then take $200 and I pay driver balance COD.

Does anyone have any experiences or references for me?

Thanks

I and a few of my friends used Plycar Transportation Group to ship vehicles cross country.

They are very diligent, on time, competitive pricing and provide real time tracking of your vehicle location.

This kind! Unfortunately, the build configuration/colors I wanted in a 2017 appear to only exist in this single truck---across the country from me. I bought it thinking getting it onto a truck would be the easy part. Oops.

It won't fit into their truck. Spoke to a very nice guy named Ronnie who confirmed as much for me.

I've used Intercity for a couple of Corvettes from NH to NJ. No problems. Delivered when promised with no damage.

Nice truck. I am getting a Ford 250 but I don't think I would by it anywhere but locally to avoid this kind of logistics.

Why ship it. Nice weekend road trip should do it. What better way to get to know your new truck.

I don't blame you. Unfortunately, I started too late in the year and this one is the only one I could find that checked the boxes.

Tan leather A/C bucket seats was the one thing I couldn't find down here. I keep my cars a long time (had my last car for 11 years), and I wanted what I wanted.

I would only used closed transport going across country if car is rare or collectable.

I got lucky bringing my 68 camaro from California to GA. I found a private transport to bring car to GA. the driver works for very wealth person in NC and was returning a $1mm porsche race car back to NC from CA and owner lets guy pick up transport for extra cash.

The rig that pulled up was amazing, inside and out, this was in early 90's so not easy iphine pics back then.

Good luck.

Footnote: I ended up canceling my contract with the first broker and went with Thomas Chavez at All Day Auto Transport. I can't say enough good things about this guy.

He delivered everything he said he would, exactly when he said he would. I had his personal cell number and was able to contact him directly whenever I needed to.

I contracted with him Saturday morning; Saturday afternoon he informed me a truck would be there Monday 9am to pick up my truck. Truck showed up at 8am Monday, and was in my driveway at 8am Wednesday morning. Fargo to Corpus: 1477 miles.

Highly recommended!

Feeling bad learning about your bitter experience from a shipping service. But from a recent revelation from my relative, I got to know about a certain shipping company from my relative. As he was relocating, he hired staff of Auto Transport Oakland to ship his car. Prior to the initiation of the process, they did inspect the vehicle and gave away a cost effective bill. During the whole process, they were in touch with my relative and hence he could track the shipment. So also the vehicle reached the destination at the given date. As their services were good, my relative recommended me the same.
