Vehicle ceramic coating (Opticoat pro plus)

If you have been thinking about it, don’t. Just bite the bullet and do it. I had opticoat pro plus installed on my truck about a month ago and the difference is night and day.

Gone are the days of worrying about bird poo etching or sap from trees(a huge issue here I’m the south). Everything glides right off. My truck is black, and any of you who have owned a black car know the hell it is to keep clean.

This coating will keep it clean longer and make maintenance a breeze. A wash that would take me at least 2 hours now takes me 45 since all that is requires is a light scrubbing. Dirt will come off with just a powerful water stream. Truly amazing stuff.

Find a certified dealer. Prep and application is key. My guy was meticulous.

Now for pictures!

In the last picture the car has not been washed I about two weeks (no rain in that time either, but still Impressive)

Your life is going to be a lot easier now. It looks good and seems ideal for this type of vehicle especially.

Truck looks great! I had the exact same product installed on my Corvette in May of 2016. You are correct, it's all in the prep work. The reflective property is unreal. Now when it rains, you get a free car wash.

Corvette was $1195. 7 year warranty. Done over two days. Paint correction, detail and application. Came back after a month ( cured ) and checked for any defects and washed car. Installer gave me a bottle of rinseless wash but I still prefer the regular wash method.

Going on my 4th year with Opticoat Pro on my Audi Q5 and could not be more pleased. Rain still beads and rolls off like it did 4 years ago.

Unfortunately, I still managed to get some swirls after using a bad car wash service. I actually use a carnuba product twice a year to minimize the swirls only and can clay out the swirls and re-apply Opticoat when needed as the swirls only hit the Opticoat and not the clear coat.

I some how scratched a piece of my front with a dirty rag. Like the sub, the ceramic is more resistant, but not immune to scratches.

I have to say though, this coating does take much of the anxiety of owing get a black truck away.

Car is coated in sap right now and I am not worried one bit. Wish I could garage my truck, but it doesn’t fit!

By the way. Ford has knocked these raptors out of the park. Came from a Porsche And I don’t feel like I have lost anything in terms of luxury or even performance!

Vehicle ceramic coating (Opticoat pro plus)

This post comes in good timing for me!!! My new 440i has been with my detailer since Wednesday. They are doing the ceramic coating and yes, prep is everything.

My guy is a monster. People travel from up north to get him their cars.

I’m picking it up in a few hours, they are tinting it a bit. 40%.

Man, that looks so good! I'm going to seriously consider this for my next car. Seeing in on that BMW pushed me over the edge. Anything to make my Bimmer more durable and easier to clean is a plus.

Thanks guys!

Well if anything. Check out my guy on IG @highenddetail he’s really good.

I just picked the car up a bit ago.

Just look at that gloss.

Anyways, sorry for taking over from OP, I just wanted to support his point in doing ceramic coating. It’s worth it.

I paid 1.2 FYI.
