Roc - msrp, purch price, retained value

So, first and foremost I have only recently even began to consider AP as an add to my small collection and one "single" watch fits the bill.....the ROC. Now I'd love either a blue or black dial but know nothing about the AP market. I know msrp is about 23k but beyond that, what should I expect to pay at an AD? what discounts have you guys worked out? hows the value retention? Stepping from Rolex into another brand feels like walking through a mine field! But man thats a damn fine watch

Welcome to the world of AP. What I can tell you that you will pay more for blue over black or white. As for discounts I would expect 15% right now on black maybe 10% on blue. I would have said 20% on black and 15% on blue but dealer margins have changed and supply is tighter. It seems that AP is shipping higher demand pieces to Boutiques these days and AD's are left with less supply of more sought after pieces. Also I am speaking about buying from AD's and Boutiques not grey dealers. AP has made changes to try to choke off the grey market. Good luck and great watches! I have a new ROC on order from a Boutique as well and can't wait till it gets in.

Over here in Singapore, I had problem getting the blue dial from ADs. Non of them have stock (or maybe they reserved for their vvips). They do have stock for the black and white dial with 10% discount. I ended up paying full retail for the blue dial at boutique. No discount at all, maybe I did not try hard enough..

Still on honeymoon with this

I recently did the dive but not purchase of the AP market. I was looking at a 26320, went to AD's, contacted local sellers....no luck. They are hard to find. They sell quick once the dealer or AD gets them. But you can get a used 26320 white or black for 17k if your lucky. Now the newest models w/two tone dials....those are full retail, maybe a slight discount. With that being said, they hold their value simply because there is little to no supply.

Honeymoon period for me as well. Had it 9 days, wear it every day (for now), running between +1 to +2 sec a day per USNO clock. I find that acceptable I think. I don’t check the time every day, but I think about 50% of the extra seconds occurred in the first couple of days. Not sure that makes sense, but...

Ps I did get a discount but I think I ordered at the right time (Aug) with an AD that was due an order.

that looks great. Even without a discount that blue dial is worth it IMO

Great AD you have over there.
This is the only watch which I do not keep track whether it is running faster or slower as the movement doesn't hack but I have no issue with that. The only small issue is the 40hrs power reserve doesn't seem to be enough for me to skip wearing it for even one day.

Are you aware of what changes they've made with regards to the grey market dealers? Also, I think you should not post anything on the forum unless it includes the pics of ur 15202 to go along with it. It's basically a must by now.
Thanks
