Cost of Repair for JLC MUT

Hi all,

I have a JLC moonphase ultra thin that I've only had for 2 years. I dropped it other day and the second hand fell off the dial. I took it my local AD and they are shipping it out to the Dallas servicing center for repair.

How much can I expect this repair to cost?

I've also noticed that other people have advocated going to non-AD repair shops for repair because often times they equally capable and may be 1/3 of the price.

Any thoughts/advice on this?

Thanks in advance!

It’s impossible to say, without knowing the extent of damage caused to the watch. Why didn’t you ask the AD for an estimate?

What do you think about this piece? I was thinking about it myself.

He wouldn't know until it got to Dallas. Also the reason I'm asking people is that I'm trying to compare prices to see if I'm getting ripped off.

Huge fan. The other watches I own are a rolex datejust and an omega seamaster. I get more compliments on the JLC by far -- especially from people who know watches (watch dealership sales folks, watch repair folks, people who work in the industry).

I only use the seamaster for actual diving though so I guess I haven't worn it enough to actually get compliments on it.
