Sometimes the auto-correct is quite annoying When I was active on the Porsche Macan forum the auto-correct kept changing it to Macon !

Does it bother you when someone corrects a misspelled word or grammatical error? I'm not talking about a typo, that happens to everyone, but a word or grammar error that one might not know you're using it incorrectly. An example is its and it's. Just curious. As for me, I don't take offense when I'm corrected...it's how I learn.

Unless the correction would change the content of the message I would not correct someone. If I had a question, I would ask what they were trying to say but If I understand what they are saying, I just answer. I have neither the time or disposition to start correcting others spelling or grammar.

I've been a member here for awhile and the reason for me signing up was to learn about Rolex watches and to look at the classifieds, that was really it-as my post count clearly shows-I was not an active participant. I also enjoyed reading the posts from the "regulars" here throughout the years. It's sad that some of them do not post as much, but it is what it is.
I am no one special to correct anyone's grammar or how they conduct themselves in a public forum. If they want to post up an "incoming" for something they already got or a "is it safe to wear here/there/anywhere" thread-so be it.

I have not, there are those here that are a lot more intelligent and more educated, I left school at 15 and joined the army. I have done alright. If I, or others make a mistake it doesn't bother me. Live and let live.
Excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes.

Well, not spelling, but I want to politely remind you this type of muckraking is low-brow!

Spelling?
I tried reference numbers to avoid the spelling mafia all together and that went south, fast. |

In my short time here on TRF I have noticed that the grammar corrections usually start when a thread gets a little heated!
I sense that some members are using this as a form of attack when running out of reasonable and constructive comment. Like some others have already said, I'm just here to learn as much as possible about watches I both own and am interested in possibly owning in the future - Rolex, Omega & Panerai. We are all 'friends' right? I try not to say things on this forum I wouldn't say directly to my friends at home's face and that includes correcting their grammar. Usually post from an iPhone for autocorrect features.....got into a beef one day in my early days here with the kid who changed the world by stating rolex changed the sd4k dial from matte to gloss and “ducking” kiddin me” probably saved me some ban points and extended my stay a bit ahha
