Hopefully it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Noticed on one of the threads it’s $65 + shipping so hopefully it’s just under $100.

Holey missing Pip Batman!

Yes. Call ahead to a RSC or Indie watch maker with a parts account. Wonder if you need the entire bezel replaced, or if they have pips lying about?

My former co-worker got his fixed by Rolex in NYC. Not sure the cost, but he did tell me he was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.

Keeping my fingers crossed I don’t have to replace the bezel.

I read it’s under $100 so once I get my invoice I’ll post it here for others.

I don’t think so since my wife purchased it last year (11 months ago) as a pre own from an authorized dealer and the warranty card is dated 2/2012. Also, when I took it back to the store they said it’s not covered. The store wanted to charge me $120 just to ship it to RSC and I politely said no thanks.

On ceramic inserts the pearl is now replaceable Rolex has developed a special tool but its back to Rolex only and cheaper than a complete insert. Now if it was a 16610 sub then you could replace the whole bezel insert cost around $75,while ceramic insert is around $400.

Is that all a replacement ceramic insert costs? I mean, it's not cheap. But with that small-but-loud group complaining how ceramic will break and we'll all regret buying the new models... I dunno, I just assumed it would be more expensive than that.

What you dont think $400 plus is not expensive for just a slither of ceramic plus the labour charge to fit it, plus the time is off your wrist for Rolex to fit it.Some ceramic inserts are $1000 like on the 116719BLRO give me aluminum DIY change insert any-day.

No, on an $8000 watch I don't $400 to replace a broken bezel insert is especially expensive. I don't think $1000 on a $25,000 watch is that expensive either, to be honest. I was expecting much worse. Replacing the gold bezel on a datejust is still much more expensive.

A new aluminum bezel is, like, $80? $80 vs. $400, given the choice I'd take the ceramic for the scratch-resistance and marker depth. That's just my own preference, of course.

So I finally received an update. Rolex is replacing it for free! Music to my ears, now I just hope I don’t have to wait 5 weeks to get it back as mentioned on page 2. I’m glad Rolex took care of their customer.

I had no idea this was happening to the ceramic Submariner as well! At least it's an easy fix and I'm glad Rolex took care of you there.

Rolex UK did the job on mine in 48hrs and cost me around £70. Not sure if they will sell the pip to an approved outworker.

I took the Sub into Rolex UK on St James's Square in Mayfair.

I've replaced several lume dots, is an easy fix and should be under $100.

Only if you can find the dot for the newer version. I checked around but unfortunately couldn’t find it.
