Checking Authenticity @ an AD or service centre
Hi all,
Anybody been down to their local AD with a seller of a potential timepiece to see if it was 100% original. Being a bit of a newbie, would Rolex Bexley ( my local service centre ) guarantee a watch in front of you before you took the plunge and parted with some hard earned cash !!. If the owner was reluctant to do this, what would he be trying to hide ?? Cheers Darren |

Yes they would authenticate Darren, & if you asked them to work on it (ie adjust the strap) they would register the details on the system with you as the new owner & give you a print-off

The AD's in my area won't authenticate because they don't want to pull the case back off, but they'll give you their opinion for free. I've done this with a few buyers for my flips
