I've flown on these. Most uncomfortable airline seat ever. The fabric cargo seating on a C-130 loaded with paratroopers was more comfortable.

The seats, be it Airbus or Boeing are operator selected equipment ,sometimes referred to as BFE, Buyer Furnished Equipment so you really can't blame Airbus for something the buyer dictates.. Some other airlines with the same aircraft might have an excellent seat that fits you better.
That deal looks good in a press release but you have to wonder if it will ever come full circle? |

i tend to not be a fan of smaller aircraft boing or airbus, it doesnt matter, as they are never comfortable. However the A380 is amazing and i would fly that in a second over the 747.

AirBus has the worst seats. Boeing 737 just a bit better. I finally had to buy memory foam cushion all cabin seats. My tail bone couldn't take it any more. Business Class isn't that much better, just more leg room and width. Good deal now if you can't fly business try to grab Main Cabin Extra. I usually book 2-3 days out usually business is sold out mostly by that point to LAS and MIA that close to departure. I try going through CLT as it usually works out better seat wise. And For me FLL closer to the apartment.
AA is pulling out the IFE on the 737MAX so bring your iPad, I've heard. They will have charging plugs around the retention area for your iPhone and iPad. First one should be up up in a few weeks. PHL is on its way to becoming a very huge hub for AA, bigger then they are now. Right now there's approximately an extra 100 slots available and that be good for AA as they do more and more international from there. Wonder what that costs ? |

Very good deal for Airbus... I prefer Boeing as well. Indigo Partners has stakes in Volaris which flies in Mexico, a low cost carrier.

I see you don't get it. The airline dictates the number seats and the pitch, within limits. Same with Boeing. Suggest you try a new airline and see if it's any better.

Well you can try EasyJet, CityJet, Vueling, AiBaltic or RyanAir, Norwegian Air and report back to us about those comfortable seats, that if you’re not hanging by a strap. BA Lufthansa, KLM and Air France are considerably better, and I think all of them fly the A320 except Norwegian.

Suggest you get out more. The operators using this jet are doing so to increase passenger loading and decrease weight. LED lighting doesn’t make the seats more comfortable.

I guarantee you that I get way more than ever have or ever will, but that's beside the point. It's not the airplane, it's the airline that counts. You own a Rolex, charter a Gulfstream and no more whining please:)

Since you seem to know a lot about this what are the limits? Do they affect seat shape, size padding and material? Could the limits affect passenger comfort? If so is it really the airlines issue? Just asking since you know.

Boeings competitor the 737 feels old. Be it -800 or -900 version or not.
I'm sorry, but IMHO Airbus is a step ahead.

Finnair uses A320's, Excellent seats. Norwegian uses 737's, Horrible seats.
So obviously you who thinks Airbus or Boeing has everything to do with plane occupancy or seat design need to read up a little on the subject. Some Business long haul on the Airbus'es are horrible, so are some on Boeing aircraft, and then we flip it around and say some Business long haul are great on Airbus and some are great on Boeing. I really don't mind the equipment much, but I mostly fly Airbuses, as my operators use them for the most part.

Wow, quite the deal there. I find myself more fond of Boeing as a company.

Boeing use to believe that their products were superior in every way to Airbus and consequently they charged a little more for their aircraft. Airbus has come along way and now they have a darn good product and maybe the price differential is not supported by the actual product, according to Boeing's own CEO.
The cost of developing a new airplane is staggering so they soldier on with the 737Max. The new Middle of the Market, MOM aircraft should do create a serious reset but that's probably ten years out. |

I fly Boeing equipment, primarily, because that's what United flies and I'm pretty much tied to them since they are hubbed out of IAD and I can usually get upgrades. Occasionally I fly Jet Blue from DCA to FLL. Jet Blue flies Airbus equipment and I find the seats there about the same as business on United long hauls.
