2 of the same model
First off I want to say I love my Z serial GMT II coke, and lately I have been thinking about picking up a pepsi. My wife said she would let me find one then she would hold it until x-mas, this got me pretty excited. The thought of wearing my coke one day than a pepsi the next is pretty awesome if you ask me, but is it a waste of money? I mean, the only difference would be the insert color, I could branch out and buy something a little different, but nothing compares to the classic GMT II IMHO. I have owned quite a few different Rolex models and the GMT is by far my favorite, and by having 2 of them, I could always have my favorite Rolex model on my wrist for life. What do you all think, am I acting crazy or what? Is it completely unpractical to have more than one of the same exact model? I also thought about grabbing a sub lv, I have never had a green sub but I just find the GMT's so much more comfortable than the sub's, not to mention the green insert, I can't figure out if I would like it or not. Give me your advice please, I am so torn on this one. Thanks

I'd ask Mike that question.

I have the Black Milgauss and the GV Milgauss. I love them both. I don't think it is a waste at all.

Personally I would go for a bezel. I think they are fairly easy to come by in the aftermarket and there is a great "how to" change the bezel in the references section of this forum.

I have a Z series Coke as well, that a picked up a couple of weeks ago. I really like that, but also the blue and red. I searched a bit and found a Rolex Pepsi bezel. It's not difficult to switch, at all.
I'd look for a bezel (hold out for a Rolex part; don't go with the aftermarket variety) to provide some change, and then look for a totally different watch to add to your collection and provide some diversity. |

Maybe you can get a vintage GMT Master (not II) pepsi. This way you have old and new. Or you can also change the insert. I changed mine from all black to coke

If you'll wear them, get them both.
Though they are the same watch but the look is so very different.
