Are you a fast eater or a slow eater?

I know I have a tendency to eat too quickly, and over the years have trained myself to slow it down.

In my younger days, mealtime felt more like fueling an Indy race car than savoring an experience.

Now there's apparently some science to support all those slow eaters. Seems you were right all along.

very fast, silly fast really, I have never tried to slow it down, but I am aware of it,

I love food, and when its there it has to go pronto, no prizes for admiring it.

IMO there is nothing worse than dining with someone that is racing through the meal like a machine! From my experiences, it also comes across as kind of "sloppy", with not much manners.

It's not a race, nobody is going to take it from ya...relax, and enjoy the meal

I'm not fast but not slow either, I think that's good?

I'm sure most of us eat more quickly than we should. Then again, sharing a meal with someone who's ridiculously slow working though their plate, can be annoying as hell.

I've always been a slow eater. Since I was a child I'd always be the last to finish out of a family of 6 at the table.

As an adult I still take my sweet ass time during a meal. Allowing my mind to catch up to my stomach to register that I'm full usually prevents me from over eating.

Also if I'm gonna put something in mi mouth ....... ummmmmm you can bet that I'm gonna enjoy it ahem ahem😉

Super picky eater here. And, temperature is one of those things that I'm VERY picky about. If it's served HOT, I have to eat it HOT. And don't like to have it cool down either. In boot camp the 10 minutes we had was absolutely no problem for me. I would actually ask for others food if they weren't done, or weren't going to be able to finish.

Super fast eater from my time playing football in high school. Coaches used to make us practice or workout during our football period right before lunch and would only give us like 5 min to shower and change. Because of that I only had like 15 min or less to eat most days.

I take my time and am methodical now. Had a choking incident in which I was extremely fortunate to have had my wife with me. That was the worst feeling in the world, as I almost passed out before my airway was cleared. I really thought I was a goner. Taught me a good lesson.

I pace myself very deliberately when I eat and don’t rush. Occasionally if I’m squeezed for time in between trains or short flight connections, i’ll get something simple that I can still savor even if it’s only enough for 2 or 3 bites.

Oh shit.....I did that about 5 years ago in a steak house..on top of almost dying it was soooo embarrassing.....everybody stops eating to look at you. There was a Doctor setting close to use and she saved my ass......she is now my GP doc

Very slow eater. Always the last to finish, but often criticised for eating with a single-minded intensity that seems to rub some people the wrong way.

Super slow here, I savor and enjoy my food whatever it may be. Sometimes to the point of slight embarrassment, family dinners where everyone is done and ready to clear plates but I’m still eating.
