Stan - What do you think?!

Tudor question. If the sale below was legitimate, would this Tudor sub not be worth a lot more? 1968 unworn, $2,500?

...I actually...

...messaged him thru eBay about the watch.

...he is supposed to be going to a jeweler to ask what the SN and ref#'s are.

...he states that he purchased a red sub and this one while stationed at GITMO while in the Navy. Story goes on to say that he purchased both for his 2 sons, but now needs to move one of them. He no longer has the paperwork.

...I mentioned to him about providing the info thru revision of his listing.

...we will have to wait and see what he says.

Thanks.

If in fact the story is legit (unworn), this would be a great item for a collector.

...mmmmmmmm.....

...assuming true story and 1968 sale date, this watch will be either a LATE 7928 or 7016. I know for a fact that the 7928 was still offered in 1968. Let's see what he says.

...the seller mesaged me with the following about the band: 5678 and 62523M18.

...well Mr. Springer, it appears that you are correct!

...those numbers are from a counterfeit band.
