Should I flip my Datejust 2...
Hey all,
I bought a datejust 2 116300 in december 2016. Now I truly want to get a SubC date but don't want to keep both. I'm right back from an AD and got quoted 5200$ for the trade: I give back my DJ2 with box and papers, pay 5200$ more (canadian dollars) and get a brand new SubC date. What do you guys think of this deal? I'm sorry if this isn't the good place to post this on the forum.

Doesn't sound like a particularly good deal to me. I'm not sure how easy it is for Canadians to buy from US TRF trusted sellers but that's what I'd be thinking.

Trades don’t get a lot of value for your old watch, so keep that in mind. If you’re willing to part with your DJII try selling it on your own first.

Well if I sort the numbers out... I had a pretty good deal on this one but I think I couldn't get a discount on a SubC with date because ADs don't get a lot of them. It's listed 9750$+tx so 11210$ tx in.
If I pay 5200$, AD is telling me that he's buying my DJ2 back for 6000$ and doesn't give me any discount on the SubC date. Maybe there's a little room for negociation... |
