Rolex AD in NYC / Philadelphia Area

Planning to visit NYC this Christmas, looking to purchase a Rplex BLNR Batman and/or Submariner Black. Where’s is the best place to buy in NYC or Philadelphia? Looking to purchase at an AD price if possible

Having just been to the Rolex Wempe Boutique , they have no , I repeat no SS watches. They don't expect delivery until March so cross them off your list of places to visit. Plenty of pm and datejusts.

I’d call up some of the ADs in the surrounding NYC suburbs, tell them you want a Sub and offer a deposit. Easy train ride to Westchester, Long Island and North Jersey and you’ll have a better shot at a Sub. London Jewelers in Manhasset usually have a good selection and theyre pleasant to deal with. I’d forget about the BLNR given the time of year and your lack of any relationship with these ADs. Sub should be doable though.

Call a bunch of ADs and have them ship to your hotel. I bet you can find a blnr if you hit the phones hard. Sub should be easy.

I was at the Big T in the Westchester mall this afternoon, lots of DJ's, PM Daytona's, the only SS sport watches were Milgauss, Explorers. No Subs, No GMT's in SS. The had a WG Skydweller. Lots of ladies DJ's, overall a lousy selection.

Everyone has said it, not a lot of stock and you are a walk in. Good luck, at the very least enjoy shopping in Manhattan, maybe something else will catch your fancy.

Govberg in Philadelphia. I’ve purchased several from them. Top drawer service, large selection of pre-owned. Highly recommended!!!

They are not horrible. Maybe I am wrong but they are like every other AD I have ever gone into.

My friends and even I have bought pieces from the one sales guy Richard. He is nice and knowledgeable. They do not offer any discounts on Rolex, but they do deals on other brands. My one buddy got 500 off and 2 free straps for a new Panerai.

I personally only buy from trusted dealers because of the possible discounts, but if I wanted to buy from an AD I would buy from him.

I was just in there this weekend and they also do not have any sport watches. They did have two sub dates come in and both sold one was to my other buddy and it was being held for him.

Richard also said they do not expect any more before Christmas.

In NYC, you're unlikely to find what you want.

At least Govberg might have a Submariner to sell you -- at MSRP plus 8% sales tax (unless shipping out of state). But since we're in the month leading up to Christmas, that's far from a guarantee.

The watch sellers in the Diamond District are worth checking out if you're considering used.

Take a trip over the Hudson and visit Sidney Thomas in Garden State Mall. They have watches. Ask for Moe.

Govberg in Philly or Hamilton Jewelers in Princeton. The last time I was at Hamilton Jewelers, they had a pretty good inventory, though that was prior to the holiday season. The reason I like Hamilton Jewelers is because they are knowledgeable and not at all aggressive. When I was there, we were talking about a SS Daytona. He said that the waiting list was so long that he anticipated a 2.5-3 year wait and wasn't even taking more names. As we all know, Rolex sends what it wants, when it wants so the AD's really can only guestimate what will be landing in their stores. There's also a store in South Jersey, 15-20 minutes from Philly named Bernie Robbins, but I'm not a huge fan of their operation.
