It’s Christmas / Holiday Season!

With some of the nasty comments I have witnessed just in the last day, I am embarrassed for this forum!

At the very least, we should be polite and we should especially be trying to be nice and welcoming and understand people from every where in the world visit forum.

No matter what your believe, being decent is basically part of most people’s upbringing.

You’re right. I already tried to delete my 2nd post ever...it was pointless, should have kept my mouth shut.

It is Rolex related. Directly Rolex related, when Rolex forum members can not be polite and civil to one another over a question directly related to Rolex questions!

There was a post that was closed earlier where people were exceedingly ugly, racist and sexist and just about everything else. It disturbs me that these members can act like this. I take my knocks being female here but to say some of the things or imply some of the things people did makes me disgusted and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Plus two newbies ask my post to be moved? I have never in 10 years gotten points or been warned.

Hello Keschete

If you talk about me then I have to tell you that I'm none of the adjectives you mentioned.
In fact, I'm open to discuss all topics.
It's simply that I have the right to have my opinion.
It's not illegal to have an opinion on something.
But I understand that some topics are delicate and can't be discussed with just anybody.
And please think of this.
By posting this thread, you are not expressing the most positivity also.
I wouldn't be surprised if it will be locked soon too.
If you really want to talk to me about something then I invite you to send me a private message.
Like I said.
I'm open for discussion.
Anyways, I wish you nice holidays and Christmas season ;-)

Has little to do with this forum, and more to do with our species.

Yes, this tends to be a very tolerant haven on the angry internet, but that’s only because the Mods are so diligent.

I read that thread. Wow. How people went from jewelry preference to sexual preference and racial prejudices is just crazy.

It’s ok. I am ok reading the thread. I just thought others might try to be nicer human beings. Maybe people could just not say anything if they don’t have anything nice to say.

I would have given Paul the link.

I've noticed this kind of behavior and comments for the past several months. It's only been increasing. I definitely don't spend as much time here as I used to because of it.

You guys and girls should see what goes on in auto forums.

This is why I prefer the company of k9’s.

I guess I missed that thread, it did kind of get ugly there at the end. Not a huge fan of diamonds personally but I would totally rock this watch with the diamond baguette hour markers. This is about as much bling as I can handle. It is a Day Date 40 I tried on at my local AD recently. I think it looks good on me. Anyone want to donate $39,000 so I can buy it?

My wife wears a diamond tennis bracelet on the wrist with her TT Rolex DateJust 31. It has diamond hour markers and diamond studded bezel. It was purchased new from an AD with all that bling. It is a very pretty watch.

Now that I read it, I understand concern about the demeaning and negative comments. I am not sticking up for anyone or anything here, but wanted to point out here were also a lot of: “Not my style... I would never do it... but if it makes you happy go for it” posts as well. I would venture to say more then negative ones. Not even sure what my point is and I agree, we should ALL be civil, I guess I just think that MOST of us are; there will always be a few negative responses no matter what the topic or forum.

The OP of the thread was basically asking for opinions. He got them.

My opinion is No Way, Never. I don't ever want a diamond anywhere near my watches.
IMO diamonds on a watch are both hideous and ridiculous. The diamond bracelet on a guy is an entirely different level of Hell No. For me.

That is not being mean, that is being honest. I would also never tell someone what they should or shouldn't do, or own, or wear. If they want diamonds on their watches, go for it!

But don't ask for opinions if you only want positive responses.

Anything mean and hurtful should definitely not be tolerated.
