Advice on a AP

Hi,

I'm a bit Rolex tired (apart from my sub) and looking for a new watch.
Thinking about a Nautilus 3800, cause my modest wrist size, i was also thinking about a royal oak. 39mm.

The nautilus is hard to get. And getting a bit overpriced if there is a decent one.
Already got some nice feedback on the PP forum asking about this watch.

Looking at a RO Dual Time. I love the dial, but i am worried about the presense of the watch. Too much metal going on, maybe?
I think i like the bracelet, but how is it in real? Is it comfortable? Under the radar?

I wear my watch purely for myself. But i have to feel comfortable of course.

Can you give me some pointers why a royal oak with some extra features like the dual time is a good watch to buy? What do you guys think?
Any experience?

Thanks!

How small is your wrist? If considering a 3800 then maybe you should consider the 37mm RO (it wears bigger so don’t get hung up on the case size). If buying AP, IMO YOU need to experience the amazing bracelet and clasp. Also try a 15202 in any metal to get a feel for the size and if it meets your expectations get on a waiting list for the 15202ST. As for the dual time it is nice but not as popular and a bit busy for Me. Happy Hunting!

Thanks!

"6.6ish is my wrist.

I like the dual time. Good to hear about the bracelet. Most afraid of the broad metal from the case towards the bracelet that gives it too much metal on your wrist, but maybe not. (i understand and acknowledge that is what makes the RO)

Havent been to a dealer yet. So my assumptions are made from online pics.

You could easily wear a 15450 and it would look great. Dual time is a slow seller so buy right if you do. Same with 450 for that matter but you can get one of those for significantly less money.

I like the dual time. Cool watch. Maybe some people don't like the dial, but at least the complication is useful

1) you can get it cheaper than a 15202
2) since it's a production piece, it's a safer buy than.the 15300

Nice one, goog53.

Open caseback is of course pretty cool.
But i like the functionality of the dual time.

I can get one few k cheaper than a 15300...

Is it low profie enough, the case icw the bracelet?

Not sure about thickness of dual time but this is 9.5mm thick and fits under a cuff no problem. I would think your Rolexes would be thicker than the dual time

How about the PP 5164 for a dual time, great looking dial and on rubber too, plus resales are rising.

15202 is what you need IMO. The proportions are perfection, the blue dial is killer and that bracelet is a work of art and super comfortable. The 39mm dual time is good value for money if you buy used, but may be harder to unload if you want to down the road.

+1. If a sleek looking AP is what you are looking forl, you can't do better than the Jumbo.

The Deep stream version is nice, but on bracelet if possible.

Thx! yes. The deep stream chrono is just so unique and perfect. Love it.
Love the bracelet, dial.. the grande date. Perfect. Weird what a high end watch can do with the view on rolex... (still love my sub, but still)

So Choice is made.

Sorry AP'ers ;)
