The 15407 with AP goodies!!

Picked up the openworked recently and the boutique was kind enough to include some gorgeous ornaments along with the travel pouch. I still can't believe how amazing this watch looks each time I lay eyes on it!

Super jealous.
My AD jerked me around on this piece even after giving them 200k in business this year.

might want to check if your AD can actually even source it from AP. It would seem that if they can you would be an obvious candidate. In many markets, AP won't supply it to AD's at all even though its technically not a boutique exclusive.

I dont know about the states, but the UK for sure AD's cant get it.

I ordered in July.
It arrived a few weeks ago, they called me and told me they were charging me 10k over sticker (rose model) and I told them to **** themselves. I was supposed to pay msrp and when I ordered it wasn’t in demand like now.

I got offered by multiple greys for 2-3k over msrp beforehand and I turned them down because my AD kept telling me to wait for my order to come in.

They said sorry, but if you won’t buy it someone else will. So I’ll take my $$$ elsewhere. Just typing this is pissing me off right now.

The sad thing is, you would've still made a profit even buying it at 10k over retail. But, that really is unethical. AP is supposedly shutting down 40 or so ADs in the next year or two; I wonder if some that know they're on the way out are just doing cash grabs knowing it won't affect their relationship with the brand going forward.

Unfortunately this place is a borderline Boutique. They just reopened and upgraded. If you make a deal stick by it good or bad, especially since I’ve been such a good client and referred people.

The SS is the high markup one, the rose not so much.
Even worst is I sold my 15400 expecting the 15407or.

Anyways I don’t mean to take anything away from OP.
He has a gorgeous watch, I actually prefer the steel but my friendly AD rep said it would be too hard to get and they would get me the rose instead........

Despicable behaviour but we are seeing this more and more even amongst the higher brands, as nothing corrupts like easy money. I would contact AP if they are an AD and tell them they are doing this price gouging and lying, they might take a dim view, esp if you tell them you will write about it on the forums. AP are trying to control their network and surely don't want such bad publicity.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It's great to have a community here with such shared enthusiasm!

DeeTee, sorry to hear that you've been jerked around like that! As others have mentioned it seems like the 15407st has been difficult for most AD's to source, and as far as I know most of the boutiques have stopped taking deposits (the OR, on the other hand, may even have discounts available last I heard).

I placed my deposit back in May--the nice sales agent informed me that very very few have come in since then, though she wouldn't give me a specific number.

Good luck in your search and I hope one finds its way to you!!

im sorry. It sucks when you find out your AD's true colors after you have already sunk so much cash into their business. I would probably find another one, but its a tough call as im assuming they will still get you pieces a "new" AD wouldn't until you build a similar relationship. But sometimes its about principle and there is a lot of this bad AD behavior going around and it sucks.
