Nice write up, but as someone that likes AP divers ( and own two ), sorry, these colored ones are ghastly.

Not feeling them, I need to have tones of disposable income to buy a fun watch like these as they could get old in the collection pretty fast.

ok seriously... Yesterday if talking about which new diver was going to be your favorite, did you ever actually imagine saying, "yeah i like the beige"
It may be the best of the bunch, but its not a standout hit.

The best Diver ROO from AP is still the very first one.

I liked last year’s funky colors and the dark green from this year is nice. The turquoise and purple though are unwearable to me.

If I woke up one morning and only had those four Divers to choose from...I’m still choosing the Beige.

But you are correct, not a hit...and probably...

I’m strapping that Beige Diver on that morning to go watch shopping.

I’ll stick to the black thank you very much. Still the best... however, does annoy me a bit when I see so many different colors of same watch come out...

I think a lot of ladies will go for the Tiffany, eau de nil one. I like that colour on the Montauk Highway.

I really dislike these colors. The black is still the best. There are certainly other colors out there that would look great but these just seem childish.

I've reserved comment on these ones until now, but frankly, they are dreadful. Just when I thought their colour palette couldn't get worse, they one-up it with this new set. If this is what AP has up its sleeve for the 20K watch bracket, I don't like the future...

Reminds me of those funky "beach" Daytonas from about 10 years ago. IMHO, the purple is way cool! Of course, I still think the Lime Green from last year is the bomb. However, if I have to spend my own money, then it's black!

Withe the exception of the RO Jumbo Ultra Thin, ROC Titanium, and Perceptual Calendars, I think most of what we've seen from AP SIHH 2018 thus far is horrible. Very tacky.

CE 42s are also good, so still a lot of good stuff.

One or two funky colours like orange yeah I can see how it adds vibrancy....but this array cheapens the diver, makes me think Swatch (or My Little Pony). What colour is NOT there, is now the question.

That said, there is a plus side to so many colored divers. I now have more color strap options for my SS Diver.

Tacky is the perfect word for this.

Really a huge turn off for me. I can't imagine what discussion was had by the product team that resulted in the release of these.

Someone said these are popular with the Chinese and Asians. I also read that new young Chinese Money in Vancouver and Canada are buying these loud watches and cars.

Yes, I believe one of our fellow members said the color variations are very popular in Asia.

Vancouver is very popular with the cars but.... thank goodness, I have not seen the loud watches (or colors). We don’t have the ADs/Boutiques to support the volume yet; however, there is definitely a demand in Canada. Every time a popular piece of the “regular” collection comes in, it is almost always sold right away. When I stop by it seems to be the AP collection is either diamonds or higher priced precious metal versions sitting in inventory. Good luck finding any ss or ceramic versions in stock (almost always zero discount for those too)

I don't get the strategy on all these colors. I guess the colors they introduced last year did well.
