Next Watch should be what?

Hello,

Currently looking for a new watch to add to my collection. Can’t decide what way to go. Thinking maybe an Omega, or Breitling. Looking for a nice piece to add that I will enjoy for years to come. Thanks for the advice and your time.

Current Collection

Rolex GMT
Rolex SubC No Date
Rolex Explorer II Polar
Breitling Transocean Chrono
Breitling Chronomat GMT 44mm
Oris Artix GT
Oris Aquis

You have a nice collection of tool/sport style watches.

Maybe add a 'dress watch' to the ensemble? There are many options and choices.

I would go Panerai. Nothing else like it yet iconic and identifiable. Perhaps the ultimate strap watch there is.

But he already has a Chrono.. that would just be adding something similar not different.
I would agree with the Panerai vote.

I agree with the Panerai. Didn’t pop on my radar until two months ago, ended up picking one up in December, and I absolutely love it. The quick change strap system is phenomenal. I’m now up to 6 straps (here’s my carbon and ruslander). Here’s my PAM01320 with GMT hidden behind the hour hand.

And it doesn’t wear as large as it looks in pics. That was one of my concerns. Tough to find a piece to compete with my SubC and BLNR, but this one does.

Could go Panerai or perhaps Tudor. Pelagos is an interesting watch.

How about a JLC Master Control Date? That would be a nice dress watch to add to your collection.

JLC something. Maybe that new Sector dial model. Great pickup for the price.

Like the Tudor Pelagos with the Blue Face. Currently don’t have a blue watch. Panerai is a contender as of now too.

Baume & Mercier Classima 24hr dial. Very reasonable, classy, and not something you already have.

What about a Grand Seiko, that would add to your ensemble nicely.

Speedmaster Professional Hesalite should bless your handsome collection immediately before the Panerai. Like 5 minutes before. Maybe 10.

Omega Speedy Pro. No collection is complete without one. Probably the most iconic Chrono ever made, and essentially unfettled to this day, although the purists may disagree.

You now have 7 watches. At some point, you have to make the tough decision we all make as collectors: whether you want to continue to have a number of relatively moderate pieces you can rotate and enjoy, or alternately, whether you want to downsize substantially and buy 1-2 "substantial" pieces of higher price and complications. I am not trying to complicate your decision, but given the depth of your collection already, at some point you may want to consider the next price range up: A.P., Patek, Lange, etc....even if you have to sacrifice a few of your current pieces to get one.
