New Rolex Day date purchase (Ref. 228238)

So after many months of thinking and speculating i decided to go with this model instead of the patek, many opinions and tips later helped me decide, and of course looks of it won! (for me) Just wanted to share with you guys! any day date lovers here?

Is this a DD41? it doesn't look like a DD40. The bracelet is wrong first off all.

The whole thing is horribly wrong, from the bracelet clasp to the dial (poorly fashioned coronet, incorrect magnification over date wheel, etc) and overall sloppy or poorly fit elements (winding crown and fit of lugs to the bracelet, as an example)

This is a counterfeit, and a poor one at that.

To the OP, very sorry if you paid any real cash for this—as you were taken. If not and you know what you hold, I’d let yourself quietly out the door.

I thought so it looked off big time. I think its a fake - but I didnt want to say anything before I was more certain.

The DW for one looks like crap so does the bracelet and actually the whole watch looks funny.

Hope you didnt get ripped off buying that.

This is what the rehaut should look like, yours looks like it's twice as thick...

The question silver or gold on the DD40 did tell a lot of things to start with (i don't think he meant the dial)...
