Scammer or not :2017 ROLEX SUBMARINER DATE CERAMIC. REF (116610LN)
I saw a Sub for sale here in Canada on Kijiji. That is clue #1.
I have been lurking for a while, but want to buy my 1st Rolex. My preference is a Sea Dweller 116600. But I digress. Here is his listing www dot kijiji dot ca/v-jewelry-watch/city-of-toronto/2017-rolex-submariner-date-ceramic-ref-116610ln/1329499330 Sorry I am new, so can't post links. Sooo I emailed the seller to ask if he would meet at the AD he mentioned in the listing for them to authenticate the watch. His response "When I have all the cash in my hand you can smash it with a hammer for all I care. Until then. Watch will not be touched. And the meeting place will be at a downtown location. Near me. Cheers. " What an ass! IMHO a scammer, or just a terrible owner. |

Can’t tell a thing from those pics, way too small to tell if it’s a fake. The fact that you’re here asking about it should be your answer. If nothing else just based on the guys immature comments I wouldn’t go near it.

There are so many good watches out in the world, there is no reason to buy from somebody who behaves like an asshole.
If you are after the 116610LN and you have troubles authenticating that model reliably (which becomes more and more difficult), buy it at an AD. I normally don't recommend ADs, but because the 116610LN is such an iconic piece with a predictable demand, you won't get crazy discount prices when buying it used anyways so you might as well go to an AD where you don't have to worry about authenticity. They will also treat you as you should be treated when you spend this kind of money on a time piece. |
