If I could only have one...

I’ve been in watch heaven lately.

Every watch I put on, I’m just loving. I’ve got four Rolex watches right now that I’m truly very happy with. And for their own reasons, any could be my only.

BLNR - on the sub bracelet. Great lume. Date. Timing bezel. Nice touch of color.
SubC - on green Everest. Fun. Great lume. Timing bezel. Super clean dial.
WG Daytona on OF - speaks for itself. Just a beautiful watch. Perfectly balanced. Great looking.
DJ41 silver, smooth, jubilee - extremely comfy. Great looking. Incredibly versatile.

Any of these four I would consider myself lucky to have. And I could definitely have any one of them as an only. But if I had to choose, and Ive thought about this a lot lately, I think I finally decided it’s an easy answer.

And considering it’s a tough decision everyday at this point, I’m almost surprised it’s a clear winner for me. But here she is...

I kinda agree. Simplest form of a wrist watch with all iconic Rolex DNA, fit for all occasion.

Rolex Explorer I may be a good choice too but it’s too toolish for some.

Damn, this is the one I would have picked. Easily btw. My only wish is that Rolex can come up with a hidden clasp like they have on all other DJ’s.

Yeah, the DJ41 has been calling me as well, and I’m itching to get one. It’s an awesome watch.

Ha. I wish. I’d love to be a one watch guy.

Two would actually be ideal. I like to be covered in case of emergency so some redundancy is always prudent.

But I’m too much of an addict to do that. I have a sickness.

For me it would be the Daytona, but really like the DJ41 as well.

The Datejust always wins out in the end. Nice collection you have and a nice 41 too.

That's a great choice. The size covers the sport watch. The bracelet and bezel cover the dress watch. The color covers everything else.

Solid choice. Something about that jubilee/smooth combination that rocks my boat. And the stick dials on the 41...sheer perfection, IMO.

I just can't decide between silver and rhodium...and of course no watches exist anywhere for a guy to just try on and see for himself.

Tell you what, I’m also smitten with the blue. It’s awesome.

My all gold YM2 116688 and my Apple Watch. The Apple Watch has many uses, I use mine as a baby monitor to monitor my baby’s camera & to receive texts and phone calls.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Daytona.

But if I’m looking for an all around perfect watch, I just don’t think the DJ41 can be beat.

That is a lovely watch no question. Sometimes I think about adding one. I'd choose a Sub on bracelet as my only, but I think you already know that.

I totally agree with you!! I love my DJ41 and I chose it over a GMTC LN, and I let go of my Daytona WG Racing Dial and my GMTC TT.

My current collection I have the Blue YM and the DD40, and it edges out the DD40 because I wouldn’t wear YG in every situation but the DJ41 I could.

That’s a really tough call Seth, but I can see how you’ve arrived at the DJ41. Gorgeous combo you have there !

A one and only for me, would ideally have a date and a rotating bezel, so it would be a Sub date or SD43. The DJ41 is a real stunner and very versatile as you point out.

I’d probably agree with you if I dressed up every now and then
