The same day I picked up my Daytona from Baron & Leeds on Maui my wife and I went snorkelling at Molokini and the guy on the dive boat said "you're not going in the water with that on are you ?"...
They're watches...they're tough...wear 'em and enjoy 'em...that's what they were made for.

cheers

That's what I'm getting at... Wear and enjoy. Living a life in a watch box is not the best way to enjoy a watch..

Too close to the clasp? Will it scratch it?

A Rolex watch should never be removed from its protective box.

All well and good, but unless OP includes a picture of himself wiping out on a Harley, I'd say the jury is still out on the safety question.

You should buy a aftermarket clasp not shiny like the explorer. My 16610 you don’t see scratches but my YM2 YG clasp drives me nuts. I wish Rolex made a glove or protector for it, I polish mines twice a year.

I had my glidelock on the BLNR before, but recently put it back on the SubC.

Love the pics. I plan to test my BLNR in similar rugged conditions.
