Rolex UK Price Increase?

Hello All

I went to visit my AD (in London) and the AD mentioned that Rolex were due to increase their prices in the UK. In November 2016 Rolex increased their prices by 10% across all the models in the UK.

Last year 2017 most of the luxury brands in the UK also increased their prices accept for Rolex.

Could the price increase be due soon, as stated by the AD?

Please let us know if you have heard anything. Could this just be speculation and rumours?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

it was the other way around. Rolex was the last one to increase prices. Some brands had two price increases between the Brexit vote and when Rolex raised prices for the first time. Rolex is lagging in the recent round of price increases also.

Its just speculation as AD's dont know that info in advance.

The price increase might be just to compensate for the drop that GBP saw during brexit!

Most on here will suggest it is an AD sales trick to convince you to pull the trigger; and it may well be. But, it's a logical conclusion to come to, and I suspect there will be a chunky increase this year, particularly on sports models.

There are a number of factors. Patek are significantly increasing the price of the Nautilus which could well drive an across-the-board of ever-increasingly popular Sports models. Brexit and the currency impact could well factor in their thinking. And I've noticed a upward move in prices across other brands, you now have the likes of Omega selling the Planet Ocean and the Speedmaster at prices similar to the Submariner, which doesn't feel right.

Add to that the rumour that Rolex are slowing down the distribution of sports models (may or may not be true, that's for another thread) which will increase demand, and it all adds up to some chunky increases on their way.

But...it's all guesswork on my part.
