Err buddy Rossi...welcome to the Watchout forum...!
To satisfy Orchi's curiosity...can you please post more close up pics of the Dial that would show the plots on the Dial...clearer? 1. Orchi sees "SWISS MADE" under the 6 o'clock marker...which is NOT normal. 2. Orchi sees its depth rating "200m = 660ft"...unclear. |

It is after market as the original was gone along time ago my father still wore when the old band gave up the ghost. I found that a new band correct for this watch was $900- 1000 dollars my still see if I can get one for it. Thanks

...NO comparrison...
...Robert, your 7016 obviously bears the original dial and hands, and appears to be untouched nor refi'd. To some collectors, they PREFER their watches to be that way. To folks like me, I PERSONALLY like my watches to look as good as the day they were new-this is just me-and, sometimes that means a refi for me. Do NOT construe this to mean that I am RECOMMENDING that you do this, as I am NOT.
...the rotor markings appear correct...you should rotate the rotor and check to see that YOU can actually see some of the jewels in the movement and there should also be a 4 digit# near the balance wheel that would indicate what the mvmt# is. It SHOULD be either 2461 or 2483, as the 7016's came with both. ANYTHING else...do NOT purchase. ...the case back appears correct....some actually have the 7016 stamped in it like yours while some show everything EXCEPT the 7016 stamping. Even others show a date stamp in them, usually II 68, IV 68, or something like that. ...the case and case back appear in extrordinary condition, with minimal corrosion-this is a GOOD thing. ...the ONLY thing I do NOT like is the crown. While the 7016 was originally fitted with a 7mm Twin Lock, when these typically wear out, USUALLY, the only available substitute is the newer Trip Lock crown and tube. The reason I question the crown on this watch, is the fact that it APPEARS to be TOO THICK to be a genuine trip lock. Could be the photo, but I think not. Likewise, the bezel may not be original, but the insert looks to be ORIGINAL like the hands and dial. ...the 3 KNOWN, REPETITIVELY used, counterfeit SN's for the 7016 are 737738, 737,749, and 731,725. As long as your watch is NOT one of these SN's, your case is most likely genuine. IF the SN would be one of these, then I would suggest to steer clear. ...NICE watch. I am certain that a few others will chime in on the thread. Stan. |

sorry guys...but that dial is NOT an authentic dial!!
I repeat..IT IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC DIAL!! it has been made to look old..that means the hands and most likel;y bezel are all aftermarket parts...I would need better photos to scrutinize the rest.. but you have some issues..I wouldnt try selling that on ebay.. |

Let's not shoot Stan. I've come to like the guy even if he did sell used cars for a living.

I don't know anything about Tudor dials, but why would it say 220m=660ft?
The real ones say 200m=660ft. They're off by about 20 meters.
