Any "one-watch" Rolex Owners?
Hey All,
I absolutely LOVE watches, and spend a bit too much time each day scrolling through these forums and instagram. Every day I have an urge to add another watch to the collection, however I have seen that as the collection grows, my attachment to each timepiece lessens a bit. Whenever I have my Explorer 214270 on the wrist, I have the urge to become a "one-watch" guy, wearing this beauty daily for the next 30-40 years. Any successful "one-watch" Rolex owners out there with a story to tell? Cheers, GV |

Yep 114060. However, if a ceramic Coke GMT comes out that will change probably. Probably won’t be able to stop myself.

I don't have time to play with rotating watches. Rolex works and they don't break or leak.
One Submariner and I'm good. |

I was for 6 years, using the Explorer as my watch. I think that is the best all-arounder in the Rolex collection. I like the Mark I slightly more, but that is a great model!

Funny you’d ask this today. I am now a “one Rolex” owner of a black dialed, oyster banded, engine turned bezeled, 36mm Datejust.
Package arrived this morning. Sent from my iPhoneX using Tapatalk

I am lucky if I wear one watch a day. I think I wore 2or 3 today. I’ve forgotten about watches that are better than what many people have.

Yes. If you will allow me to count my Tudor Submariner.
However, I do have a Casio for exercise, yard work and around the house, etc.

Don't confirm too early for only owning 1 watch, you will eventually get more and more~

Maybe after I try every Rolex model I'm interested in I can become a 1 watch guy, but until then I like having a rotation and trying new watches.
If I had to do it, I'd choose a DD.

Great photo of the 500!!! The bezel almost looks silver with the reflections!! I couldn't live with the Daytona alone due to the lack of date function. As it is I do wear mine in the mix but not as much as I should at the price i paid. I'm not certain if I could live with one watch. I'd like to say I could possibly with the SkyD but I'd also want a knock around watch was well so not likely.

Not a one watch guy, but I like to put a little distance in between watch purchases to really enjoy the honeymoon with a new watch.

Honestly, when I first started shopping for a Rolex I figured I would be a one watch guy. I bought a 114060. Nice and classic and I feel like it goes with almost anything. However, I have been bit by the bug and I am now the proud owner of 3 Rolex watches. That being said, I think 5 is all I "need"....maybe.

There’s just too many nice watches out there to be tied up to one watch.

I could be a one watch guy no problem. I'm not at the moment, but if I was going to it would be my black 42mm Explorer 2. Although honestly any Rolex makes for a great one and only. My twin brother is a one Rolex guy. He wears an mk1 Explorer and loves it. I could do a DJ, Submariner, Milgauss, GMT no problem as a one and only.

I got a HULK and liked it a lot. Then I got a SS Daytona 116520. Ill wear my Hulk in the Summer at the beach but I could easily get by and be happy with the Daytona for all my uses. I am on "the list" for a couple more but not sure Id buy them even if I got the call. Unless it was a ceramic Daytona......

I was a one watch guy for 12 years (Exp II - black dial 16570). I now have several and enjoy having a variety to choose from each morning. When I see the wear and character of my Exp II, I know that my newer pieces may never have the same charm or patina from a lighter rotation.

I wish. I do like the concept of making all the memories with one watch to tell the tale.

One watch guy here too, a 114060 Submariner. I’ve looked at other watches and even pondered buying another but the no date Sub is just so versatile. Dressed up or dressed down, it just fits right in. The only one that really might make me consider adding a second model would be a new SS Pepsi if Rolex ever brings it back.

One watch guy there too with a sub LN date. I had a GMT II in 1992 that i sold 2 years later. To be honest, i'm hoping that Basel will reveal a new GMT coke SS. I feel i would be more excited than when i got the LN maybe because it was my first Rolex back then or simply because it's a more fun watch. Don't know yet what's happening in my mind..but i damn i miss that GMT coke!
