Would you buy a SD43 in gold?
My thoughts recently is I would like to try another yellow gold Rolex for a little fun. I owned the 116618lb and it was great (I have even considered looking for another). However, truth be told I want something a little bigger. My wrist is only 7 inches but I guess the 40mm case just feels a little small recently - I have been wearing a lot of AP 41 and 42mm recently so that makes sense.
I think a SD43 in YG/WG or even platinum would be an amazing edition to the Rolex lineup. There is no 42-43mm sports model in the Rolex line in PM (only the YM at 44mm). Seems like it wiould fill a GAP (I am considering the skyD as a dressier watch like the DD40). what do you think?

I would be in line for a PM exp2 or SD43. If they put a ceramic bezel on the PM daytona on bracelet I might also be tempted. The daytona wears a bit small but the ceramic makes it pop a bit more.

PCLs (as is default with PM) on a SD43? No thanks!
To me, she's beautiful and majestic as is. I'll let the pictures do the talking: |

Okay. No voting no because you are a gold hater and prefer SS haha. That is defeating the purpose of the post lol. I feel like there is a gap in the PM sports model line. Nothing in 41-43mm in a gold sports model. Do you agree? How would you suggest filling the gap?

The demographics of sales for the extreme dive watches are small enough. They have not or ever been a mainstream watch in the Rolex big picture. PM a extreme dive watch wouldn’t make $$$ sense for Rolex to bother with.

Why not, Rolex already ruined the heritage of the SD

I would like to just find one in steel first. I don't think I could do it in gold. Gold gets scratched up and blemished so quickly.

I like gold enough, but the SD43 is fairly heavy in SD. I don’t think that model - one of my favorites I own - would work for me in gold.

I doubt they’d ever make a SD in PM.

gold case might not withstand so much pressure as
stainless steel are capable of. |

Wouldn't interest me. Happy with the PM models currently in the line.
