ND Sub vs SD43
Got the ND sub last week as I didn’t want to miss the chance when I saw one at the Rolex boutique last week.
But I just love my SD43 can’t take it off my wrist, so I have not yet the incentive to unwrap my ND Sub yet, and not sure when I will want to put this ND sub on my wrist. Should I just sell the ND Sub? Or keep it in case one day I get tired of SD43? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Tough one. New subs could have the 3235 movement and hurt resale value of yours. And, owning a SD43, I can't see a day that I would put that on over the SD. See if you can sell now and at least get your $$ back, if not hold on to it but keep it in unworn condition.

As an owner of both, I’d say keep the 114060. It’s a pleasure to wear and fits well along side it’s bigger brother

Keep both for the time being as they anyway don't really loose value so you're not risking anything by keeping them both a bit longer while you make up your mind!

Does the SubC still retail for $58k? It seems like only yesterday that greys were selling them all over HK for $46 or $47k.

I would keep both personally and own both as well. I love and appreciate each of them though and like having options.

Sounds like you bought it based mainly out of limited supply. I'd flip if your heart's not in it.

Both are great watches and I would wear the ND some and enjoy it. If down the road it does not work then go trade it for something that does.

I challenge you to put Ref 114060 up for sale in the " Wanted to Sell " TRF /WUS/OF section. Go ahead Ken. Dont be a yellow-bellied chicken-hearted coward now. I bet my bottom dollar you won't have the guts to do it

You bought a fantastic watch but not because you love it so I'm not sure what to say.

I would sell the Sub as long as you could get what you paid for it back.

For me, I wear my SD4K and haven't worn my 14060 since I got the 4K. I'd let the 114060 go to someone who really wants it. I love having the date on my watch and have far less desire to wear watches without that!!!

I only came to the Rolex game since dec 2016 The submariner date and no date have been on my wanted list and I do like them. Just that I used to think I could always get them any day from any AD so I chose to go for the “hot” models first including the SD43. Then the most common and basic submariners became hard to get. So when I saw it at the AD I wouldn’t want to miss out, but when I came home and compared it with the SD43 I’ve fallen in love with recently, I suddenly felt unsure if I still want the submariner as much as I did. But there’s part of me who thinks that taste sometime changes with time and space so it may be just time when my preference switches again, so for the time being my plan is to take the advices from some of you fellow TRF members here and keep these watches :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You bought your first Rolex 15 months ago - and now you have 10 Rolexes. My own view is that I would keep your current set and not buy any additional ones until another year or so. Wear the ones you have and see which are keepers and which are not.

Two is one, one is none.
I'd keep both if I could. I don't really like the dressy watches so the Sub would be my suit/dress up watch, 007 style. I know many would cringe at a Sub and a tux, but that is me and you are you. |

OK. You bought the sub for the wrong reasons, IMO. You buy a watch b/c you fall in love with it and you just can't live without it. So...it makes no sense to me to keep it or wear it if you don't.
What I would do is figure out what I really wanted and flip it for that. |
