Need Expert Advise
I have been looking at Submariner 14060’s
(This would be my first Rolex). Advice on this eBay listing would be much appreciated. Want to be sure it’s authentic and in decent shape (i’m not the best at evaluating lugs) How much is the value affected with the hands and dial not matching? I can't post pics or links, but found on eBay with the following: Rolex Submariner 14060- Best Patina! Running great |

Here you go:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/292469873355 Looks authentic, but the case is a bit thin/overpolished for my liking (especially at that price). Looks to have had the dial or hands swapped at some point (patina mismatch) as well. YMMV... |

The mismatched hands would bug me, lug holes look a little bowled, on the 7 o’clock hole either the spring bar end is poking completely through the hole or it’s just bad lighting. I think that the price is up there for the condition.
I’m no expert but I call bs on the hands being original.

I agree with Tim, the hands just look too off compared to the dial. That would bother me way too much for this price. Keep on searching OP and you will find the right one.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I didn’t know if it was over-polished and not sure if they where replacement hands. Great advise. I will keep on searching. Much appreciated! |

The first thing I noticed was the hands and thought they were replacements. Even if they're not, it affects the value of the watch because people will think they are and make it a harder sell.
