Need Advice: Swap Sub Bluesy for SkyD SS White?
Hey everyone, I need some advice. Would you swap a bluesy 116613lb for a white dial SS SkyD? I have a BLNR, a Pam 104, and a JLC tribute moon in my collection. I’m really torn on this, as I like the SkyD quite bit, but don’t know if it will be a long term keeper and classic as the bluesy. I’ve attached a photo of the SkyD as a reference.
Thanks! |

I don’t think I would. The 116613lb is gorgeous, and I’m not to keen on the white dial of the Sky Dweller.

LB is a classic. White Sky-D is just OK. This would be a different discussion if we were talking about a blue SS Sky-D.

I would personally but I am also not a TT fan. The SkyDweller is a special watch and really nice in every color. I chose the black myself but it is one of those watches I could be happy with in any color if I couldn’t have gotten the black.

Datejust means date just as in only in case you were confused.
Quick English tip for you: “an” before overpriced not “a”.

Thanks for the replies! I appreciate it! It is a very hard decision. I actually prefer the white to the blue, that is in the SkyD. The bluesy is definitely gorgeous. It’s just I find myself in a TT-defiant phase. But that sunburst blue dial is just beautiful.

Is this a straight up trade?
Regardless I would as I quite like the SkyD in the white dial. Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk |

I would and I have owned a Bluesy for a long time. I think the movement and size of the Skydweller is worth the move alone. It’s a clean powerful looking watch.

Here’s a shot of my black Datejust errr I mean SkyDweller. They are nice watches and truly a lot of watch for the money. An AC + GMT for $14,400 hard to top that!

I made a similar move from Bluesy, but to TT SkyD, though I would not have done it for the SS... unless it was the blue dial. I figured the Bluesy would be easier to get back into at the time... no telling these days, eh!

That black skydweller is a great looking watch, but the Blusey is my second favorite watch. My Hulk is number 1. I keep toying with the idea of adding a Blusey, though. Maybe a trip to my AD is in order, haven't been over there in quite a while.

You are right, and it’s partially my concern too. Not sure if the Bluesy price will continue to rise and become harder to get if I let mine go. But I also have the same concern for the SkyD with the general Rolex shortage, and it being a limited (somewhat) watch. |
