What's harder to get... Daytona SS Ceramic or GMT SS Pepsi Ceramic

All things being equal and if timing/announcement were the same... which watch would have greater demand and harder to get (with long wait lists)

Daytona SS Ceramic (white) OR GMT Master II SS Pepsi Ceramic?

Well, Sky-Dweller in ss with blue or black dial is actually the hardest to get. Then comes Daytona.

But Rolex will sell every new GMT they produce.

Is this true? I know the Sky Dweller wait times are pretty horrible, but I haven't heard anything as ridiculous as some of the "estimated" wait times for the Daytona. Friend of mine was in Vegas last week was told 8-10 years for the Daytona and that they were not taking anyone else on their list. If that's really the case, why would you even want to be on that list???

Not even close. I don't think the new pepsi will be prohibitively difficult to get at retail in a few years.

For the last 20-30 years Daytona SS models have been always chased like crazy. But I remember in early 2000 both pepsi/coke can be obtained easily with discounts.

The first Pepsis will be 20k from the grey "trusted" sellers.
After a year, they will be sold at retail or very close to, and not hard to get from ADs, and the early adopters will feel like idiots.

No need for early adopters to fret if they only pay msrp. Limited supply will keep gray at that for a long time.

I guess it will be similar role to BLNR or the SD4K or the green Milgauss.... when initially for first 1-2 years it will go WAY over retail and then come back down to earth. Although i think the Pepsi might stretch it out to 3 years.

that said I'm hoping to get mine before xmas!

Daytona for sure! Hype for the pepsi will continue for
A few years but I doubt initial prices will be in the $20k range and more like mid teens.

daytona and i think not even close. I think the hype for the GMT jubilee pepsi will not last. Even SKydweller is easier to acquire than the Daytona despite being released last year as opposed to 2 years ago

It should be the Pepsi as the D500 has been out for nearly two years and most buyers should have been sated, but supply is so restricted and flip prices still so attractive that I bet the D500 is still harder to get.

Daytona has always been a piece AD's play games with

SkyD relatively easy to get now depending on your relationship with your AD, the SS Pepsi will be tough at first but do not think 2 years out we will be where we still are with the ceramic Daytona

Actually for my AD the SkyD in SS in blue and black have been harder to get than the Daytona. They have just not shipped enough and my AD complained to his Rolex rep the other day about it.

Agree.
A lot of AD’s have said the blue dial Sky Dweller is the one they see least of.

Same here, got both ceramic Daytona and Pepsi, but still no black or blue Sky-D.

Harder to get... well the new GMT hasn't started shipping yet, so I'm going with that one. When it becomes available I think both, and the SS SkyD's, will all be nearly equally impossible to get. I don't think we'll be able to identify which is more difficult.

these 2 models shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. both black and white ss ceramic daytonas would be harder to get even for several baselworlds more to come

I think both will continue to be hard to get. Daytona will probably still be produced in less quantities as Rolex has always done that. So long-term Daytona.

No way this goes down the Daytona route. Historically, Daytona have been limited. GMT? Not so.

Initial hype = 2 years...

They will both be equally unattainable.

But.... this whole talk of $20k for SS Pepsi is crazy talk in my opinion.

You can have a $12.4k Daytona for $19k any day.

A $9200 GMT, can’t possibly get 20k given $25k gets you the Original PM!

The new Pepsi will sell like the BLNR and eventually settle in around 10% over MSRP.
