Hublot, 30k would you buy?

Hi Guys, I had been on a crazy watch shopping spree and IS trying to stop! However; I just came across another deal that I’m a-little craving for. It’s new old stock, Hublot, Diamond paves skull classic fusion watch.

Retails for 45-50k, I’m getting at 30k. I’ve been wanting a bling bling watch, diamonds, a watch for summer or even dress up in a tux. I feel like that watch would work,

What do you guys think? Should I buy or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks!!!

I don't like it tbh, design wise - not talking about the brand. Check out some blong pieces from AP or Rolex, you might find something to your liking. They have a diamond paved Yachtmaster Rose Gold now.

No. There are much finer watches available for 30k. Please ask if you want opinions! Pass on this.

No thanks.
As for the Hublot hate, I am not a fan of the brand but I must say the unico movements are beautiful and the chronograph is as smooth as it gets, makes the Daytona 4130 feel like pressing a rusty mechanical button.

Simply put , That’s a BIG NO!!!
Then again , skull and diamond pattern aren’t my
cup of tea...
At $30K lots of beautiful choices ...
Maybe a DD or DJ with diamonds or even a Daytona
with some bling ... I’ve seen some Subs with diamond
dials too . So many choices in that price range , don’t rush ...
Heck , you can get a beautiful Patek dress watch
for that amount and really shine !!!!

Not my cup of tea but if you like it go for it but I’d be looking for a bigger discount.

There’s nothing wrong with that look.... you just have to match it to the right flip-flops.

If this is something which you can pull off, style wise, then yeah, go for it. If you are comfortable with the price and don't care for resale then yeah, go for it. Everyone should be buying what they want and what pleases them.

We all have different tastes, 99% of the people here wouldn't be seen dead even trying that watch on INSIDE the store. That's irrelevant to you (except if you are considering resale value).

A couple of things to consider though. If you want bling there are options with better residual values and likely a wider pool of potential buyers. The design here, the skull, will obviously limit potential pool of future buyers. Don't think even at the numbers you quote you are getting a deal, try to resell that for $20k and my bet is you'll struggle.

Hi Jay, great response! Thank you! Like most watch enthusiast at the time of buying I’m not thinking of resale but I’ve learn from my couple IWC’s, my style do change and trying to sell the IWC are a struggle.

My guess is the "struggle" to sell the IWCs would be nothing compared to this particular Hublot.

I think it's common for many of us when we are buying watch 1, 2 or 3 to think I'd never need to sell these, I will keep them forever, it was my "grail", resale isn't important and so on. For most of us however there is a point at which resale does become important, it could be the 2nd watch, the 5th watch or the 20th watch.

If you can afford to lose $10-15k on this watch, then all good. If not, perhaps best to look elsewhere for the bling.

Big no no for me, first I don’t like it, second can imagine how much you will get if you decide to sell it, 15-18k? Out of 45-50, I would never do it, you don’t even seem to love it, just going for an iced watch, much nicer options out there

You get the point, the price point is nothing comparable to a AP or PP. but definitely not a knockoff, that would be senseless.

Sure — it’ll go great with my spiked collar necklace and studded leather jacket....🤣

On a more serious note...I wouldn’t take that thing into my possession if it was FREE.

Next....
