Advice on this Tudor Submariner weirdo
Hi,
Would really love the experts opinion on this Tudor sub I found on the bay.. I can’t make heads or tails of it. Dial is redone, bezel is bizarre.. what about the case? Does the etched Tudor symbol on the back come from a modern watch?? Any help with this would be great (I accidentally posted this in the non vintage discussion group- so I’m reposting here) |

Run. Don’t look back, just run.

I’m no expert, but I wouldn’t touch that thing with a ten foot pole.

The case is like the water in the PRJ: extra-chunky.

There are plenty of phony tudor movements with all the right decorations on it. Since Tudor uses ETA the fakers can manufacture the remaining pieces to make it look like the real deal. Not saying that is the case on this movement, but considering the hodge-podge of other parts, it is in the real of possibility. Most fakes I am seeing focus on the submariner or other popular models.

The 455B end links on an Oyster bracelet should give you your first indication
