Datejust 41 slowing down

I am sending my Datejust 41 to Dallas this week. It is under warranty as it is only 3 months old. Does anyone have any experience with a new watch getting slower and slower? At first I thought it just needed to be regulated. Now, it has gone from -2 seconds per day to -8 seconds per day. Just curious if anyone on here knows about the inner workings of the movement. It seems like something is more wrong than just needing a screw turned to regulate.

Of course, I will hear the answer from Dallas in a couple weeks, but some people on here seem to have a pretty good understanding of these things so I thought I would throw this out there. Thanks.

Give it 40 full winds see how it performs after that

Are u wearing it regularly? Wear it for 3 or 4 days continuously after full 20+ wind. The watch may need to settle down a bit

Done it. Also experimented with how it rests at night... crown up, crown down, etc. It continues to slow.

Yep. Done that too. I am 100% certain there is a problem inside with the movement. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what could specifically being going on. I did some research online about the movement and how it works... super interesting. I thought maybe someone on here would have some idea one what might be "wrong" on the inside.

Your doing the right thing to send it back to Rolex....I’ve had my DJ41for 10 months and have nothing but praise for the movement. Mine is +/-1 second per day depending on how I lay it down at night...dial facing up works best for mine.....RSC will sort it that’s what the warranty is for.....-8 is not acceptable for such a new watch which should be +/-2 sd as promised by Rolex.
