LVC flip for Daytona C?
I purchased the LVC last spring from my AD. Yesterday I asked about a wait time for a white Daytona and was told that she would push me up on the list and would be looking at a very quick turn around time. I can’t have both so the LVC would have to go. Looking to get a consensus...
I have not seen a ceramic Daytona in person. My dad has an older Zenith Daytona that I love the look and feel of. Thanks in advanced! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very different watches. If it were my only watch I’d go with the Daytona. Otherwise either would be awesome.

I have both and I wouldn’t trade my LV for a ceramic Daytona. You’ll want another and will have to pay a grey dealer a significant premium to replace it.

Easy decision. Take the Daytona.

I should mention-the Daytona will be replacing the LVC as a daily, and would be getting 90% of wrist time.

No brainer, get the Daytona C. If you don’t like it you can always flip back to a LVc and still come out a head. Easiest question on TRF ever. .

I have both. Both nice but the 116610lv is a better watch in my opinion. I wouldn’t get rid of it for a Daytona. I wore a blnr for two years before the DaytonaC and so the DaytonaC was small and underwhelming comparatively. Kinda over-hyped to tell you the truth.
It depends on how you like your watch to wear. But I couldn’t wear the Daytona as my main watch after wearing subs and gmt. Just feels/looks/wears small. Good luck. |

If both was not an option. I will sell the Lvc no questions.

Sold my Daytona to David recently as it never sang to me. Nice watch but over hyped in my book. Just picked up the LV last week and it just sings on the wrist to me. I should’ve bought it last when when my AD was giving me 15% off on it 🤦*♂️

The tougher question to answer here, is how is a one watch purchase history of a Sub getting you priority with an AD for the Daytona C? That’s very interesting.

Your AD can always get another LVc for you if necessary. Get the Daytona and try it out.

You are right! I assumed facts not in evidence. My bad. And FYI, even if you did only have a one watch purchase history, I wasn’t criticizing you. Really just pointing something out that seemed unusual. I don’t hate, I congratulate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

To OP, I would think about getting the Daytona first before you sell the LV, both would be an easy flip, but the Sub I feel would be more of a daily. My Daytona is my weekend going to dinner party watch. |

Is it the quick turnaround that is the issue? If it is, I would opt to wait a bit longer to have both. If having both is not an option, wait to sell the LVC until you have seen the Daytona in person.

Own the LVc and have seen the white DaytonaC in person.
If it was a 1 one thing, then Daytona for me. If part of a collection, then the LVc would stay.

I would not prefer Daytona C over LVc. I have both and difference is quite clear in my opinion :)
Daytona is beautifully made, details are exceptional. LVc has th perfect green...

If it was me personally I'd begrudgingly rid the lvc for the Daytona as I like the watch better....but realistically it can go either way pending on the individual.

Tough comparison that really comes down to personal taste. I myself would take the white Daytona C over the LV sub. If possible, I'd do all you can to keep both in your collection though.
Worst case scenario, you give the Daytona C a shot and you sell it down the road for a meaningful profit. You can always go back and get another LV -- if you don't want to wait for one at that point you shouldn't have a problem coughing up a little extra cash for a LV from a grey (due to the profit on selling the Daytona). Btw - very jealous you can get your hands on one that quickly. I've been painfully waiting for awhile now :( |

I sold my LV once I got the Daytona call. Quick and easy decision for me.

I'm not a huge Daytona fan, but I know the LVC is way too green for me. So for that reason, I'd make the change..

Had a Daytona, sold it. No way would I flip my LVc for another. A dive watch with date window and timing bezel is a lot more useful than a chronograph from what I have found. I own several chronographs and have found they are a pain to activate quickly. Unscrew the pushers, rescrew pushers, etc... A timing bezel is faster and easier to read for normal daily activities. The size of the LVc wears alot bigger and the glidelock clasp is miles better than the easy link. I also own the easy link. A Daytona is a great second watch but not a daily for me.

IMO, for a daily, LVc is more suitable with date. Some of the folks I know let go their Daytona for that very reason when it came to keeping only one.
Keep the Sub will be my recommendation. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Each has its own character but will definitely pick DaytonaC over LvC if you cannot have both. Goodluck.
