Perfect watch for my lady

Thinking of surprising her with her very first Rolex.

Only watch I really like is a Rose Gold two tone Turn o graph w. white dial.

This watch has been discontinued but ive been searching online and have managed to find a reasonably priced one on chrono24

Any other suggestions. Hoping 36mm wont be too large on her.

Only negative thing about TOG is that the black indexes on the bezel wash away and lose color.

Any suggestions

It's a lovely watch but I'm not sure a TOG is particularly feminine. It's also not sporty enough for the ladies-in-sports-watches kind of look. But if she's expressed a liking for it previously or often needs to time something then go for it :-)

You might be surprised to see what she would pick if you took her to an AD.

I did this with my wife and surprised her just the same, but she left with a watch that I wouldn't have necessarily chose.

She has not. It's more me taking a liking to the tog long ago.

I like the red accents and saw one on a girl at chrome hearts in miami before and thought it looked fantastic on her arm.

Anything larger than a 36 would not look right. She has small wrists as is.

Love a RG Daytona on a girl but think 40mm is too much size for her.

Thank you.

If I had chosen it would've been a jubilee bracelet with a pink dial... so there you go

I'd take her to an AD or boutique and have her choose. The last thing i would want is for her not to like it, or like something else. I thought my wife would like a 36mm date just, but she decided that a White Daytona Ceramic better suit her wrist and style. If i purchased a date just, it would just end up being returned

I'm in the same boat. I want a 36mm DJ for my wife. All I know is she doesn't like divers and doesn't like the oyster bracelet. She likes the small ones though, so a 31mm may be the one. So I'm gonna take her to an AD to "look" around and waste time. But what I'm really doing is taking note.
If she sees one she goes oooohhh ahhhh for then I'll give the ad the wink and pick it up later to surprise her with it.
We'll see how this pans out.

Maybe some ladies, but not all.

Mine likes the OP26 and likes smaller more feminine watches. Go figure.

I did the same with my Wife's wedding gift.

We had been looking for many months after deciding we ought to get her something special as her gift to me was the D-blue.
Sadly she had set a price limit that was unrealistic to fully meet expectations until I found a slightly more expensive option that was not previously on the table.

After she tried it on while we were casually watch shopping and killing some time.
She had her light bulb moment.
The rest is history as she absolutely is over the moon every day.
The gift that keeps on giving as we both enjoy her wearing it.

Hate to say it OP, but that's unlikely to be your wife's dream watch. Let her pick.

Happy wife, happy life...

Great advice here. Watch looks great on her Brian.

I picked out a few watches over the years for my wife and they always sit in the watch winder. A few years back we looked at a bunch of pics online and she picked a vintage OP 1002 silver dial 34mm from 1967 with dome plexi! Girl after my own heart picking a vintage. I would have never thought of this model for her. It is her daily. A couple years ago I was looking at some of the new floral dial 31mm so we looked at more pics and tried a few on. In the end She picked a 116231 DJ 36mm white diamond dial. Found a mint full set and she wears that when we go out. The 26mm DJ I bought her years ago sits in the dark with the Cartier, the TAG and .....

To the OP, get her involved in the decision, you may be surprised at what she likes.

My wife wears a SS TOG with a white dial and a Platinum Day Date.......both in 36mm. She is very slim and 5'10" with very petite wrists. 36mm is a perfect size for a woman these days IMHO. She loves the TOG....but her's is on Super Jubilee. Here is the Platinum Day Date......I'll try and get a few pics of the TOG.

My fiancée has relatively small wrists but is very happy with her YG Daytona. It’s worth trying I think.

The YG Daytona (on bracelet not strap) actually has a notably smaller case than the WG and RG too which helps it wear better for a woman.
