Anyone else like faded bezels on a 16710?
Got this bezel from my watchmaker a few years back - was on the 16710 on his wrist and when I asked if he had anything similar, he simply popped it off and handed it to me.
Couldn't just take it from him, so traded my black bezel in return. While the black bezel was original to the watch, I really don't care or miss it, because I love the way it looks now and will never have the black bezel on it, nor will I sell. I will, however grab a replacement black bezel when I pass this along to my son in the future, just so he has all 3 bezels.

That's beautiful!
i'd love to get a faded bezel for my 16710. Theres a guy on IG that is well known for owning 16710s as well as owning, buying and selling faded bezels. I was gonna buy one from him recently until I found out he wanted $400 lol. I'm not saying it was a rip off or anything, I just had no idea they were that expensive. I held off, but I'd still like to get one one day. |

Looks great. There is a charm to the faded red -- suggests "worn with love" in all the right ways!

I know that there are naysayers with this look, trying to make a modern reference look vintage - but this is precisely why I love this look. You get all of the modern upgrades (SELs, bracelet, etc) with look of a vintage watch!

$400 seems right. I paid $250 for a brand new Pepsi bezel. I’d say an extra $150 is a good deal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love it. I think the faded bezels add character.

I'm probably in the minority, but I like my pepsi as it is, with a vibrantly colored bezel. I hope it doesn't fade.

Contrarian here also. Many years ago I had a new bezel installed on my 1675 because it had faded. I much prefer the from the factory look, even for vintage.

Unless I am the original first owner, wearing from bland new and witnessing all the changes, the short answer is no I don't like it(not talking about the monetary value added part)
How would you feel if a lovely girl you like keeps telling you her romantic stories with other guys? I don't think I would like the feeling LOL |

I prefer vibrant colours on luminova. Faded bezels don't look as good against pristine white markers. Not that I'd be in a hurry to replace one if I'd had it from new.

I like them faded but I also like their colors crisp at times. That’s the beauty of the 16710, you can change them easy peasy

I actually prefer the faded bezel to a pristine one. It's what gives the GMT it's character and allure.

Absolutely love the faded bezels; something the ceramic counterparts can’t claim.
