Safe Deposit Box Containers

For those of you who do use a safe deposit box at a bank, I was just wondering what containers, trays, or boxes you might use for the contents (e.g., watches, jewelry, papers, etc.). I have a 5x5, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to use to store contents in there. Primarily focused on watches, but I will also likely store some of wife's jewelry and some documents in there. Thanks for any ideas and feedback you might be willing to share.

Edit: It is supposed to be 5X5, but the length is about 21 inches.

5x5 may be a little too small, but it still depends on how many watches you want to store. Most 5-watch cases will require 5x12 or larger.

Rolex coffin. They're small and free with every purchase.

Yeah, it was the largest that they had available. Normally they don't even have vacancy at this bank closest to home. I just happened to call them yesterday, and they said that they had someone close an account in my neighborhood. I got the sense that most people actually only had a 5x3 size bank safe deposit box.

Thanks. I thought about that, but I didn't get any as mine were pretty much all purchased from a local AD who didn't know what I was talking about when referring to the shipping containers.

Something like this box on Amazon I think should fit a 5X5 box. I think the length of the safe deposit box is about 21 inches. The box from Amazon is only $20 and fits 6 watches.

Safe Deposit Box Containers

Another good option for watches with bracelets to be stored individually is the Rolex service pouch. I have asked my AD for them, and they gave me happily for free one per each Rolex that I purchased there without any problem.

We have a tray but on a waiting list for a box. Been waiting, oh, 10-years now for the box!

Oakley watch vaults and/or Rolex pouches depending on which watches are put away.
I usually put 4 in the safe deposit box when leaving town.
All fit nicely

Yeah, I think I had been looking for one locally for about six years when this one became available, so I jumped on it especially since it is just a 5 minute drive from my home. I didn’t know that they were in such demand in my area.

Yeah, it's slim picking here in SF as well. We were lucky to get a tray many years ago.

A really good friend of ours (who's in their 80s) is about to close her box and pass it onto us.

Finger crossed. haha.

Actually I asked my AD for some years ago and have used them ever since. There’s a few non-Rolex watches they won’t work for and I have a few watch boxes that work well with those.

That's a good idea. I'll ask one of the local ADs if they can spare some.

Yep, exactly what I use.

Beckertime sells them if anyone needs them at a “decent” price
